1. MSU
2. EWU
3. Sac (yep)
4. CPSLO
5. UM or NAU

I'm gonna take CP out and add in UND
Cal Poly returns 18 starters off a 9-3 team.

Cal Poly lost to SHSU in the playoffs by 2 on the road (CP out gained SHSU 387 to 241). Your MSU team lost by 18 at home to that same SHSU team (SHSU out gained MSU 458 to 292). Maybe you should take out MSU and add in UND. Just sayin....

Preseason Offensive Player of the Year: McGhee and it's not close right now.
Preseason Defensive Player of the Year: Coyle, Tripp or Wags, It will be interesting to see who UM's nominee is for that.

Team that could be a big surprise this year in conference play: Weber (Plfu will have that offense rolling)

Sorry BW but Sac ALWAYS finds a way to fold. They don't deserve any more preaseason hype. They actually need to earn their hype for a change.
It will take two seasons for Pflu to get "that offense rolling." Weber has too far to go to be considered a contender. Agree with Sac's history.

Many seem to be forgetting the hit MSU took big hits on the D. Big losses; tough to replace.

With the unbalanced schedule, it's necessary to consider the strength of conf. schedule. Some big differences; a true Fullerton mess.

As long as MSU has McGhee, they'll be at the top of the conference.

You lost your star QB without a proven replacement.

Ask some of us Griz fans if it makes a big difference.

Their DL looks real shaky to me. Daly is good, but he's about it. They lost Minter, who had some skills when he was healthy (which was rare) and their best player in Schreibeis. As we should know, the OL and DL control how good teams really are, and I just don't like their DL that much.

We lost Broadous and that is a big hit. That said look for Tanner Trosin (set the California HS passing record his senior year throwing for 5,185 yards and 49 TDs. He also rushed for 1,179 and 20 TDs) to step in and keep the offense rolling. Rumor is there is a very good FBS transfer coming this spring that will push him for the starting job.

No, thank God. He is a former Gatorade national POY. Got it from a very reliable source, but you never know. Once it becomes official I'll post it here.

Ends are stacked and loaded with quality depth. Interior D Line is set at the starting positions but depth is definitely a question mark. Fortunately Ash finally has this program built to the point where we have quality players that have been in the system for a few years. We have hungry kids that have been chomping at the bit to prove themselves and show what they can do now that Minter is gone. We'll see how it plays out.

EWU 4th Oredigger? bahahaha - stick to the Frontier Conf bro, you clearly don't know your Sky.

EWU will be the favorite to win the conference. Yes, the schedule is absolutely brutal (and idiotic), but since when has that ever stopped the Eags from running through the Big Sky.

Oh and as a friendly reminder, Vernon Adams is still just a sophomore.

Good. That means he has three years of running for his life ahead of him. I said it 3 years ago and I will say it again. Jordan Johnson will be the best quarterback in this conference by the time he is a Junior. He was the second best by end of his Sophomore year before his year off. So yeah, I'm not really worried about. I'm more concerned about our ability to cover your receivers than I am Adams ability to hurt us. Our front 7 will keep him in check.

This past offseason I haven't been able to browse eGriz as much as i normally do and quite honestly I feel out of the loop. I know there are a few posters who have actual insight and way more knowledge than I do about the way the season would/could/should possibly shape up. So..

What are the chances the Griz can take back the crown of the conference?

Who are the top teams in the big sky this year?

What players do you expect to be impact players?

Basically I just want to talk Grizzly football and get past all this offseason nonsense that unfortunately been happening, even though the posts i've browsed through have been quite entertaining.

Anyways, Go Griz. Look forward to catching up on my hometown team again now that I have the time.
I think Kirshner & Counts are gonna be regular playmakers to be watching for too along with what everone else is posting. Big powerful quick kids.
