Well, he fits the mold. Yet another Griz coach who has echeloned down. Dude goes from associate HC and D coordinator and LB coach to coaching safeties.

Fishing is good tho.

Because Hauck wanted a good and experienced coaches here, because he knew the 2 older D coaches would soon
return. You’ve heard of trying to line up backups, right? Sometimes can be done; sometimes can’t.

Like back-up QBs?

Good? Experienced? Not how I would describe him. Again...you do you.

Mr. Negative, you need to learn something about the program. You are too far removed from the program and from reality. Criticizing Roger Cooper is idiotic.

I've heard Cooper is a terrific coach.

"We're really excited that 'Coop' is joining us here at Montana. He's a guy I've had my eye on for a long time, maybe even since he was a senior at South Kitsap High School. We should have recruited him when I was at Washington," said Hauck. "I've known him for many years and have a really high regard for his abilities as a coach and who he is as a person."

"Cooper returns to the state of Montana after spending 10 years at Idaho State, where he most recently served as the associate head coach, defensive coordinator, and linebacker coach under Rob Phenicie.

He then spent three seasons in the NFL and NFL Europe from 2005-2007, with stints in Dallas, San Francisco, San Diego, and Frankfurt, Germany, before suffering a career-ending injury."

Wat? Wat do you know about Coop?

Or fishing? You probably think Dolly Varden is the porn alter-ego for the beloved 9 to 5 singer

Roger Cooper is an absolute stud. Epic linebacker for the Bobcats, all time favorite. Bobcat for life… ask him.

10 years at Idaho State and demotion to come to the Griz doesn't feel "good" or "experienced" to me.

But, like I said, you do you.

Mr. Negative, ask the Cat posters what they think. My view is that coaching at UM in Missoula is a step up over coaching at Idaho St. You might do some investigation other than reading job titles.

Retirements and position changes

You were right on the change. Just the wrong Monday. :thumb:

Well to his credit he didn’t say this Monday or next Monday or which Monday. He just said Monday. Kinda falls back on the broken clock theory.

Changes happed almost a month ago.

It's been known for a year that they were going to retire. "Changes" weren't really made. The season ended. Do you think Bobby didn't know that Sacks sold his house last fall?

He's pretty clueless. Not knowing Britt was leaving, thinking he could hide Crews and not realizing his attempt to steal the 37 legacy wouldn't cost him the locker room.

They actually planned to retire after '21, but BH and they had unfinished business after the '21 finish at JMU. They believed '22 was a special group that had NC potential, and maybe an O'Connell Buchanon, so they stayed another year. Ronnie Bradford was to be only the CB coach for a year, not two. Kudos to all of them, great men and great coaches.
