COACH STITT SHOW TONITE

Looking both ways then back to the original look can throw the entire psu team way off.

Perhaps he needs to just throw it during one of those "looking both ways" periods.

Simis grins all the time like he is having so much fun out on the field. This makes his teammates like him for what he brings, seems to make them play better for him and the team! His grinning at tired Defensive linemen while they are trying to "get" him makes them lose heart and gas out early.

The way he popped up after that 10 yard sideline run where he got popped and knocked down was priceless...totallly demoralizing.

I mentioned Kyle Sampson in another thread. Point being, we were down two QBs and he ran a wishbone offense in high school, as I remember, and despite looking like a grade schooler behind that line, pulled off an upset. The other team was totally UNPREPARED for this change. Google it if you are incapable of remembering it, youngin's.t The Lucas factor has similar potential. The UNKNOWN. Question is, is this coaching staff capable of such a change?

I remember it like it was yesterday. It was Kyle Samson (correct spelling) and it was against the Idaho Vandals. Bobby brought Kyle off redshirt and ran the veer option all day long and Idaho had no answer for it on defense. One of the best coaching moves I have ever seen.

Idaho never recovered after Jefferson Heidelberger went 80 yards on an end-around on the first play from scrimmage. Kinda like UND last week after their initial burst, except...the Griz kept their foot on the pedal back in 2003. Last of our current streak of four wins over the Vandals.

If you were those receivers, in that game, how would you look at Makena? For the first time this year, the WR's didn't just "look good." They demonstrated why they are so good;. The BALL WAS THERE! They just had to grab it.

And they did.

Before the UND game, one of the parents of a GRIZ wr commented how excited the GRIZ WR's were to be catching passes from Simis because they would be in position to make plays more often. The WR's love having Simis at QB. That alone says a lot about a player!!! I honestly have a feeling, Simis will be the GRIZ qb until his graduation. The PSU game will surely tell us a lot.

I'm sorry but I need to see more out of Simis. UND isn't exactly "Elite", if he puts up another great performance against PSU i'll be a believer.

Yeah, I hear ya. I mean, they were only the top rated defense in the entire Big Sky going into that game.
Not only that, but they beat the same PSU team that he seems to think is the gold standard.

Simis....Egg on your face

Oh no, I was wrong on the internet!
