Classless Weber takes Big Sky facilities to a new low

I agree with wildcatfans assessment. Webers stadium is no where near the bottom of the list. Portapotties or not it's in a great setting. Northern Colorado is the worst for low buck appearance. Eastern Washington for just pitifully ugly. Also, all you dome teams: domes suck and will never be considered.

You know Montana didnt always have Wa Griz, and Stewart Stadium despite the track and "porta potties" is one of the better Football stadiums in the Big Sky. And on the subject of porta potties, Weber has plans in the works to build a new facility on the north side of the stadium that will have new bathrooms, a Hall of Champions, and an indoor ticket office, closing off the north end of the Stadium. They also plan on digging out the mountain side above the east side of the stadium and putting more permanent bathrooms and more concessions. I have also heard they plan on building a parking structure for the football stadium.

Weber is also getting an indoor training facility which includes an indoor football practice field, a seperate soccer field, and brand new weight rooms for the mens basketball team.

And Weber has the Dee......enough said.

Weber despite being the "community" school you all claim it to be has some of the BEST facilities in the conference, heck, how long did it take the great Wa Griz to even get permanent lights?

I wish I had the "Dee", whatever the f*** that is.

bro, what is a dahlberg? :roll: i dont understand arguing about big sky facilities. many are very poor quality in both sports. big sky overall ranks very high. ever seen georgetown's fball field?

well of course, thats the way it is. 19 big sky titles vs 3. but you could also make a very very convincing arguement to the below even as much as we all love football.

DI Basketball > FCS Football

fyi, weber fans have been complaining about our "restrooms" at our fball stadium for years, are some on here assuming we are proud of the current state? :lol:

Yeah Stewart Stadium could use some upgrades, mainly better restroom facilities and concessions, but I'm really excited with some of the improvements being made to our facilities and the addition of a new indoor practice facility. Here are some pics:

You do know that there are more sports than football and basketball right? true the two mentioned are the money makers, but they aren't building the hall of champions just for those two sports, they are dedicating it to all 106 Weber State Big Sky Championships.

Thats right in case you didn't know Weber State has more BSC titles than anyone else.

Weber State's cross country/track programs have been top notch, historically.

My point exactly. weber is a basketball school right now and they have the best facility. Montana has the best football fan base and has been a football school since the 1990s. Griz fans are justifiably proud to hover at or near the top in hoops and football year in and year out but Dahlberg arena is just not as nice a facility as the Dee. I don't get the weber smack of this thread I guess, save it for the true douchebags of the BSC - EWU.

Just didn't know what a Dee was. Thought maybe you meant to say you had the doe. This is understandable because my knowledge and interest in basketball is about the same as my knowledge and interest in the mating habits of felines.

BTW I have been to your football stadium and the scenery is spectacular. The track really does suck though.

I would go to Weber 1000X before I would set foot at ISU or UI. they both make Weber look like a world class stadium.
Now some of the fans in the boxes are complete asses but I have had a good time there for the most part.
Granted that was with the Jack Mormons... :thumb:
