Choate/Cats lose Coach

Hey they got Ty now guys, never mind they pitchforked Ash and his inept crew out of town or the only decent player they had bailed, things are gonna be Power Shift - New Era - Taking Back the Big Sky- blah blah blah.

There's going to be more drilling in Bozeman than the Bakken at it's peak, and Prukop won't save them this time.

LTCF, I think you missed my point. My point is, I'm missing why this is something that A. needs to be discussed, and B. You guys saying "sorry, we didn't lose a coach". I'm pretty sure you didn't just sign Lombardi or Rockne. In other words, Alexander is a defensive backs coach, taking over a mightily struggling secondary. I'm just not feeling it's something that you guys needed to toot horns about tonight.

How's the stitt show treating you guys? Still innovatively underwhelming?

Similar to my night with your mother. She wanted to try lots of new things, but we decided it was best to just do what we do best. Similar to what the Griz do best to the kitties, like the 52-35 beat down you got this year, and the 37-7 one the year prior. And the 8-2 record in the last 10 years in which include some of the biggest down years in Griz history. Say hi to mommy for me.

Yep, the place where LTCF spends 90% of his time, more so than his own team's message board. Try to log off and go kiss the little ones good night bud, they probably miss their daddy.

What is this thread about? Did Choach Coate quit already like the Procup did?

I can't keep track of what's going on there, I heard a term "coaching carousel" one time...must be what this is?

So . . . I mean, who is going to, you know, coach the Cats after Chotche? Is there any sense of urgency in Catland regarding the choach jumping ship?

As of 1-14-16:
(HawaillAthletics.com)
HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i head football coach Nick Rolovich completed his coaching staff with the addition of four new hires, including defensive coordinator Kevin Lempa, who will make his second go-around heading the Rainbow Warriors' defensive unit.

In addition, Rolovich announced the hiring of Sean Duggan as linebackers coach, Kefense Hynson (pronounced ka-FIN-say, hen-SON) as receivers coach, and Jason Cvercko as the director of football recruiting and retention.
Hynson comes to UH after one season as wide receivers coach at Norfolk State. Prior to that, he spent three seasons at Montana (2012-14), on the same coaching staff as Suiaunoa and Cookus. At Montana, Hynson spent the last two years as co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Boise State is in the process of hiring former NFL All-Pro and Pac-12 assistant Ashley Ambrose as defensive backs coach, a source told the Idaho Statesman on Wednesday.

Mid-December: Choate hired Gerald Alexander to be our secondary coach.

After New Year: Boise St. fired their secondary coach and Alexander wanted a shot to return to his alma mater to coach the secondary.

Two days ago: Ambrose got the job over Alexander at Boise St.

Yesterday: Jeff invited Alexander back on as our secondary coach.

There ya go.

So he gets hired at msu. 3 days later he leaves. Ten days later he loses the job at Boise. He gets hired back at msu.

That place over there is a complete:

He didn't "lose" the job. He got an interview and didn't get the job. He got a chance at an FBS job, our coach gave him a shot to go get a job at his alma mater, and he didn't get it. The secondary coach at Boise State can make upwards of $200,000 so I understand why he went for it. We are thrilled to have him.

Hmmm, sounds like he may find value in a quick read of Coach Ron Ash's book on Commitment.

And msu comes across as the guy that will take his GF back every time she screws him over and leaves.

Jeff Choate has put together an excellent staff. Lots of experience at a lot of different levels of college and professional football. They have been with some of the best programs in college football. Even the NAIA coaches are very experienced and did an excellent job. Excited for next year!

Not talking about where we will finish next season. Just saying that I feel Choate has done an excellent job in hiring a good solid staff. It should make for an exciting next season.
