Choate/Cats lose Coach

I read BN a lot, obviously. I feel I have a good read on the general sentiments of just about every topic and discussion on BN. It's always fun to come over here and see how it is twisted, warped, and misconstrued. I always get a good chuckle.

I'm not sure I saw anyone saying we'll be a NC team next year, or that losing Alexander is only going to help us. You may find a post or two but the vast majority say otherwise. But if one were to simply read egriz about the matter, you'd find a completely different opinion.

The situation is not the same in reverse? I don't know, because I don't really read Bobcatville.

It's exactly the same. Possibly worse, you know with their infatuation and all.

Not sure, you guys would have to be the judge of that. I don't read egriz very often anymore, so I wouldn't know if what the guys say on BN about egriz are true or not. Usually I come over to verify any claims like that, if I'm feeling so inclined.

You sound like me, but in reverse. Except I really have no clue what people post on the Bobcat board about the Griz.

The "chuckle" for anyone that reads Wombat Nation is to see how the "general sentiments" are so far removed from reality. Every year. I've never seen a fanbase so consistently wrong about its own team.

Yes, if you are a Griz fan I am sure you fantasize your life away on thoughts like this!

Sadly, your comment is proof of the premise.

That's pretty good work, right there.

Surprised your coach would welcome him back with open arms. He obviously didn't read Ron Ash's newest book on commitment.

This might be a silly question, but why are MSU posters apologizing to Griz poster for a defensive backs coach choosing to coach at MSU? What am I missing?

LTCF, I think you missed my point. My point is, I'm missing why this is something that A. needs to be discussed, and B. You guys saying "sorry, we didn't lose a coach". I'm pretty sure you didn't just sign Lombardi or Rockne. In other words, Alexander is a defensive backs coach, taking over a mightily struggling secondary. I'm just not feeling it's something that you guys needed to toot horns about tonight.

The preseason champs will toot their horns about anything they can that can't actually be judged in the W/L column. If something can't be proved as a success or failure they will thump their chests about it because they can't be proved wrong. Ideology of preseason champs.

It's really just an update on information and not so much of a horn toot. The answer to your first question can be found in the posts rife with schadenfreude from Griz fans.

Given that, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see him again commit to coaching at MSU. The man can teach ball skills at a high level to a group of young men so dry of correct technique that hopefully they soak up everything he brings like a sponge.

How's the stitt show treating you guys? Still innovatively underwhelming?

doc3kgt, last time I checked I'm not a Griz player, so how's it working out for me? Just fine. He's not my coach and has no influence in my life. My life is going good but thanks for your concern.

As far as being a Griz fan goes, I'm fine too. But, since you said you'd rather have your favorite team go 5-6 than lose to NDSU in the playoffs, we don't really see eye to eye on how things are going.

Similar to my night with your mother. She wanted to try lots of new things, but we decided it was best to just do what we do best. Similar to what the Griz do best to the kitties, like the 52-35 beat down you got this year, and the 37-7 one the year prior. And the 8-2 record in the last 10 years in which include some of the biggest down years in Griz history. Say hi to mommy for me.
