Chasing NDSU to be the Best in the FCS

When I was over in Woodbury, I tried to avoid going to Minneapolis unless it was on the weekend simply to avoid traffic going through both cities as well as Saint Paul or Bloomington/Eagan usually having whatever I need with less traffic and stress than going into Minneapolis.
That's true of all cities with Atlanta being the worst for driving after LA. I've lived in St. Paul (loved it because it felt just like Missoula) and Bloomington, Edina, Minnetonka, and a few more 'burbs out west of the cities on Highway 5. I rarely go to St. Paul except for Wild games, High School Hockey State Tournament, and concerts. I work in downtown Minneapolis so I'm in Minneapolis on a more regular basis.

No. Because BLG was responding to one of Kem’s MAGA talking point posts and you called him asinine for not comparing Missoula to Spokane. Some things are so nonsensical and should be ignored, but I simply made a poor choice in time management before eating my Wheaties.

Or, maybe, yes I am.
ngl, HHB is right, my reading comprehension sucks. Thanks for pointing me back to BLG's post. After reading it I see he was referencing the Minneapolis fires in his reply to kem. My bad and I stand corrected. Thank god I have AI at work to help my reading comprehension 🤣

When I mention MSU to the hairy cow fans, they start laughing. When I mention the Griz, all they can talk about is 2023 semifinal loss to the Griz.
Because fans of NDSU would rather talk about a loss two years ago than winning a national title .🤣🤣.

That's an asinine statement. It's as relevant as this one "I visited my sister in law in Missoula and I refused to go into Spokane because of that"
I do not think it is an asinine statement.
I made a personal choice to avoid Minneapolis because of its recent history of racial motivated violence and my feeling of potential issues of personal safety.
If you think it's asinine to be cautious then that's your opinion.

Something that was interesting regarding Woodbury and NDSU is NDSU was probably the top choice for local high school students that didn’t get into the U or Madison which were by far and away the top choices or didn’t want to go to a 50,000 plus student school. There are some other schools that got a lot of students like St. Thomas and both of the Iowa schools but NDSU was probably above them. Woodbury might be the furthest part of the cities from Fargo too unless you want to include Hudson Wisconsin as part of the cities.

Then you better never drive on Montana highways. You have a higher chance of dying on Montana highways then you do being murdered in Minneapolis.

That's interesting because in the western part of the Twin Cities it's Mankato, Duluth, Gustavus, St. Olaf, Creighton, Drake, St. Thomas, Madison, Iowa, UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire, and Winona State and a few others but not much NDSU. I can count on one hand the number of my kids' friends that have gone to NDSU. If I include the kids of my friends in the neighborhood along with neighbors' kids, the count stays the same.

I would include Duluth, Mankato and Winona State as popular in Woodbury as well. UW Eu Claire and River Falls are pretty close being in western Wisconsin but I didn’t know anyone who went or whose kids went to those schools. The only people I know who went to Creighton and Drake are from Colorado. I assume Creighton as well as Marquette are probably more popular with catholic high schools which I am less familiar with.

Entz is long gone and NDSU is doing just as good or even better since he left, so who care what he thinks.

MSU is more of a rival to NDSU than Montana is just based on their two national championship title games that will exceed anything Montana can boast plus the vigen ties to both schools..

Why else do you think do you think it's MSU-NDSU in the 2027 vegas kickoff classic and not the grizzlies?

I know, I know, I know !!!

NDSU wanted to schedule MSU because the last time MSU beat NDSU, Gerald Ford was President, 50 years ago... in the last century : ( !!!

I used to be annoyed by the “you can’t go to [city], it burned down in 2020” thing because it’s so stupid, but I’ve come around to embracing it because it keeps out the riffraff. Don’t come here, it’s very dangerous! Stay in your rural meth lab where it’s safe!

Don't get your tusks twisted. I don't have any plans to visit St. Paul's lesser twin.
I have to agree, of the two cities, I prefer St. Paul and the suburbs south of St. Paul. IMO, Highland Park and Summit neighborhoods are the best and Mendota Heights is the best suburb.

I will take a polasek coached bison team with two weeks of rest prep to bead the redbirds by 14 points or more..Illinois State hasn't looked great recently.. they had a tough game yesterday and the week before got thumped by a non playoff team Southern Illinois 37-7 in the final game of the regular season..
I know you will think I'm crazy, but Illinois State has a shot to take down the fatboys next weekend

Hahahaha, what you don't know is that it was the organizers of this game that came up with the matchup because the past history of the two teams, NDSU-MSU had to agree

Same thing with SDSU and Montana game the following year.

Hey, if I am NDSU, I too would want to play a team that hasn't beat us in 50 years vs. one where we're about. 500, Da GRIZ. Puny little 25 lb bobcats don't eat Bison: 500-1,500 lb. grizzly bears 🐻 do. !!!
