Chase Naccarato transfers to Whitworth

12 career starts for UM through his junior year season, including 8 in a year when UM had a very talented receiving crew, the all-time leading receiver, and several seniors who will have NFL opportunities; and he's not a D-I receiver? Jeez, some of you don't have a clue about the game of football.

Jamal, Ellis, and Ben all played at a level in football where they did "tear it up" You say Chase will "tear it up" at Whitworth. Seems all 4 are now at football levels where they can tear it up, and that is good for all of them.

Both years that CN started, he was starting with Jones and Henderson. That's very good company. Henderson has huge talent, but not sure he tore it up this season. Also, look at all the other good, and supposedly good, UM receivers, who didn't get much action this year. CN did, until late in the season.

I really thought the biggest difficulty for Chase (when being pared with these taller receivers), was that unlike JJ, this year's QB's didn't adjust as well, and seemed to over throw him a lot, on downfield and screen throws. He got a lot of targets in the early games so he was getting open.

Chase was the most disappointing Griz I've ever seen. The kid could never get away from coverage, he never broke a tackle, he dropped more than he caught! The kid was not even close to Division 1 talent. His dad should shut his pie hole about slamming the Griz affording his kid a free education for the past 3 years. He is D2 quality at best, but honestly D3 at very best. Best of luck lil guy. Flame away!

 This is one of those situations where you should have just walked away from your device without sending. He was a Griz. Just thank him and wish him well. It's really not that hard.

Hope he kicks ass at Whitworth.

I read H8184's post six times and I can't find a single redeeming part that would give me an inclination that you have a clue about tackle football. You realize the target was pea sized vs a stud like Ben Roberts? Right? Downfield routes? Not hardly. Bubble screens and slants were the main course. What the F... does a slot being paired with tall receivers have to do with anything? Of course everyone is tall, you're 5'6"!... :egriz:

You can NOT be serious about EH. 16.7 ypc, 8 more catches than Nac for 3+ Times as many yards. 2nd on the team with 7 TD catches. Not sure how you can defend Nac on one hand and then tear down EH's season in the same breath.

Whoa, buddy, put down the triple shot espresso. Just pointing out JJ, who did not have first team reps with 7 of 8 receivers over 6', didn't seem to overthrow CN as much as this year's QBs, especially on downfield slants (and sit down routes), throws which Roberts and Horner could reach.

Who else thinks Henderson "tore it up" this past season? Just curious.

In '13, averaging 23.4 yards per catch (and leading the nation in that stat) with 14 TD's was my idea of tearing it up. I believe he averaged my TD's per catch than anyone in the nation that year.

Saying I'm not sure Henderson tore it up this past season is tearing him down? Hum, don't think so.

Our QB's overthrew all of our WR's. I wish they kept drops as a stat. Seems like Chase had a stretch where he dropped a bunch of easy passes then came back and caught 8 or 9 balls for like 15 yards...... Then disappeared.....

Moderating does not require being a condescending prick.
It's hard to tell on this forum. There's the old saying, if it weren't for double standards, there would be no standards at all.
This thread is a good example. A fine young man did not find his future at the University of Montana, and its an opportunity to thank him and wish him well. "Peyton" often goes off on posters that "change the thread topics." Read the last several posts. But, the moderator will do nothing. "Moderating" here appears to depend on whether the moderator agrees with the posts, knows the posters, or is just sleeping, not by any particular reference to his professed standards.

Anyway, the thread WAS an opportunity to extend some deserved recognition to Chase for his efforts here. Whitworth will be quite a culture shock from the University of Montana, but its a nice, quiet little campus. A Christian school, its stadium is a bit high-schooly, but adequate for a 3,000 student population school. He ought to be a star there. It's the difference between sitting on a bench and being on the field, and so he undoubtedly made the right choice.

Seriously, if all of these posters drive you so crazy and get you so fired up why don't you just stay away from the site altogether? I am not sure if I've seen you make one positive post. Everything you post challenges people or spews of negativity. You're like that Saturday night live character, Debbie downer, who is always down and out and brings others around her down as well. You know the one that says something and then the trumpet sounds Brrrrrr brrrr brrrrr. Perhaps a good anti depressants would help...Pristiq is solid!

lol...that WAS a positive post you answered to.

Thank you to Chase for being a Griz. I wish him nothing but a successful future.
