Center snaps haven't been an issue for about a week now.

So, they WERE a problem a week ago, but are great now! Whatever dude!  :jack:

Improvement through practice and continual reps - who would've thunk it right?

Unless you think that these pre-fall camps aren't meant to improve the players?

I got the responses I expected. You dolts are devoid of observing anything technical about the game of football. "The coaches will fix it", "we fixed it last week", blah blah blah. Stay at 40,000 feet, and you'll be more in your comfort zone. Don't attempt to discuss anything technical.

It IS A PROBLEM. I was told that directly by an assistant coach YESTERDAY that they are very concerned about the snap, and that it IS NOT FIXED! So, save your sophomoric slams for the pediatrician lemmings that think any of you know jack-sh*t about the game of football. Here's a little news flash for ya,Wally's World and Playa Rape are not the only posters who know coaches. I want to see all of you eat crow after the first FU exchange between the center and our QB.

FINE, I'M VERY worried about the center snap to qb and everyone I have spoken to in the LAST FEW DAYS has directly MENTIONED IT! It might be the downfall of this season when all is said and done. I'm ESPECIALLY worried about losing potential recruits when they see how bad our center/qb exchange is. TRUST ME, I'm with you.

I guess your observational skills at less than 3 feet are missing entirely! :P :P :P

I am ACTUALLY not all that worried ABOUT it. All the QUARTERBACK has to do is reach DOWN and GET the ball and heave it into the end zone. Problem SOLVED. See, that WAS technical.

Atlanta,

I think I can speak for most of us. Your continual negative posting is borderline moronic. We all get that you have concerns, (but I think you have other motives) but you are filling the board with constant drivel. Since you could not take the hints I sent you I leave you with this...

Mr. Atlanta,
What you've been posting are some of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent posts were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read them.

I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I am sure those people are your other identities, of course they agree with Atlanta.

Right on, spin it baby spin it! So, let's get your position straight. Our back-up center, who took plenty of snaps as a back-up, and had lots of problems with snaps, is named the starter, and miraculously, a week later, due to "continual reps", is now an accomplished snapper! Gee, who knew?

Why don't you just admit that I am right. you must think you're Hillary Clinton, and can save face by spinning facts. You're about as credible on this topic as Playa Rape at an "Attorney Ethics" meeting.

No, he is an informed football fan, and has obviously heard about the snap problems from others. We should all just listen to the sheep on egriz in Wally's World instead of an assistant coach who has expressed his concern YESTERDAY! It is very obvious that the mantra is to slam me on every post I make. I am only posting football stuff. You deem it "negative", because each post addresses a real concern expressed by myself, and many of my Griz-fan buddies, who are all very knowledgeable football fans. Why don't you try offering a rebuttal, instead of a school-yard post? The reason is that you have NOTHING to say! If all of you lemmings get a woody jumping in on the "slam Growler" band wagon, then go for it. I just laugh at how pathetic and clueless so many of you are. You don't want to be called a bad fan, so the popular avenue is to just agree with the pin heads who routinely start the slams. Grow a pair, be a man, and speak for yourself. Sheep!

8th grade drivel. Stay with obsessing about recruiting. You do a good job there, but violate the First Amendment as a moderator. I could give a sh*t if you like me, hate me, or think I am negative. I have just as much right to post my thoughts on here as you do. You are not elected, you are a volunteer. Don't let the title go to your head.

Look at the bright side. You have a chance to miss the entire football season here.

Oh, one more thing regarding the snap. I am willing to bet $100 that the time from snap to the hands of the QB is much shorter with our starting center than with the guy who will start against NDSU. This should very easy to confirm by our resident coach sniffers, because they are so close to the team. Germer times the snap, so the info is available.

Ok, from a fan of another team here that doesn't have a dog in the fight. It is not a bad thing that the ball floats back to the QB. A newer snap technique is for the center to put his hand over the nose of the ball and stand it upright. It floats back to the QB as a knuckle ball, which is much easier for the QB to catch, control, and find the laces - resulting in a quicker release of the pass. The difference in timing is really negligible and may even speed up the entire play when the QB needs to release the ball quickly. A hard spiral snap can be harder to control, and almost always results in a huge loss when a snap flies over the QB's head or wide right/left. The QB has less time to react to a bad snap.

But please, by all means, recommence with the bickering everyone. It's fun to read.
