cat Griz Round Two

DJ had a bunch of big boards and a big jumper down the stretch. And Vasquez is money on the stripe. Mac will learn not to swipe at the ball on blocks and get a couple a game the next 2 years. A good, ugly W.

Not a bad day for the Bobcats. Bobcat women put a whipping on the Lady Griz. Plus, a first year head coach Sprinkle with most all the players left over from the previous coach and a not 100 percent lame Harold Frey only lose by 5 pts to a very good, strong Griz team.

Too quiet over at BCN for you tonight?

Actually , it has been a busy day on BCN.
One reply on the MBB vs Griz thread? I can see why you came to Egriz to celebrate.

Not really celebrating . I am happy with the Lady Cats the way they have been dominating. I am also encouraged by the first year job Sprinkle is doing. The Griz have a pretty dominate team and are very well coached. I admire the job Travis D has done. A 5 point loss by the Cats is encouraging. Will be interesting when Sprinkle gets his own recruits.

What do you mean? The only players that are really left from last years team are Frey and Kirby and maybe somebody else who’s name I can think of right now

They are not Sprinle’s recruits. The others were recruited by Fish.

All the starters and most of the bench were Fish recruits.

Dude you’re bonkers. Them losing Fray after this season makes them even worse next year. Everything goes through him....literally everything. They look completely lost and really bad when he’s not in.

I have to say, as much as I like poking fun of Frey for acting like he gets shot in the head with a sniper rifle by Chuck Norris everytime he moves with the ball, the kid is a player. Great shooter, great passer and seems to be a great teammate as well. It takes a tough dude to roll his ankle pretty bad then come back into the game and fight to the bitter end. Respect.

Well, to be truthful, MSU has a vastly better band and student section. But, the Griz are not a "strong" team. They are in a dog fight with North Colorado for the number one team during the season. But the BSC tournament appears to be up for grabs with UM and NC favorites, as of now.

I know that at least Adamu and Belo are Sprinkle signings, so this isnt true

Why do you even call yourself a Griz fan? Better band and student section, based on what? They go to one game a year.. and have you seen their student section for football games? Not the most engaged fans for either sport

Only -- and I mean ONLY!! -- a cat fan would say it's a good day when you've just lost -- at home -- to your arch rival for the 19th time out of 20 games. That might be the most cat thing ever!!!

Not a bad game by the Cats... Close but no cigar. I guess it's a wait until next year to see about win #5 in the series since 2007.

Cats band is pretty good I’ll give them credit. UM student section is way better. Not even close. The cats don’t have a student section at games outside of Cat Griz. Facts.

And to a team where five guys getting major minutes in the rotation (DCH, Egun, Owens, Vasquez, Mac) are true freshmen, redshirt freshmen or sophomores.

I'd bet that Belo is going to damn good next year with no Frey dominating the ball and if Adamu can develop a half way decent jumper he's going to be pretty good as well.
