I feel like Kent Haslam is destined for a bigger school but I doubt that school is NAU.
NopeAre you trying to imply Haslam interviewed for the NAU job? That would be a downgrade from UM.
So it’s Haslam’s fault UM has been in the Big Sky Conference forever? He is doing a good job when you consider the limitations placed on him. Some people are okay with mediocrity
He hired the winningest coaches in the history of the basketball and football programs. He done an excellent job at UM but you can’t blame him for moving on to somewhere else if they are going to pay more than 4x what UM is paying. So it’s Haslam’s fault UM has been in the Big Sky Conference forever? Why?It would make more sense to drop football if you were going to move the other sports up and leave football in the Big Sky.
Football is the big money maker with moving up. It makes no sense to move up without football moving up because football moving up with the increased revenue is how it could make senseWhy?
Football pays all the bills now, as FCS. Not sure how the athletic department books pencil without football.Football is the big money maker with moving up. It makes no sense to move up without football moving up because football moving up with the increased revenue is how it could make sense
You can still keep football in the FCS win/compete for championship and still continue to make money as you do now. The other sports especially WBB and MBB suffer being in the BSC, it’s a one bid league with no revenue generation. You could get multiple ncaa bids in MWC.Football is the big money maker with moving up. Basically what UC Davis has done. Why is that. Keep football in the FCS, keep making money and winning championships the rest of the teams are already in D1/FBS and play FBs level games. If men’s and women basketball went to MWC they would have a good chance to earn more ncaa credits which is additional revenue for the school.

UC Davis AD and president were able to do it, I know your going to say they have the CA marketName two conferences that would accept Montana with the provision that they would play FCS football that you consider a better conference than the BSC...I'll wait.
UC Davis also has a lot lower proportion of revenue coming from football compared to other sports.UC Davis AD and president were able to do it, I know your going to say they have the CA market
Why did you think my post was in reference to Kent?So it’s Haslam’s fault UM has been in the Big Sky Conference forever? He is doing a good job when you consider the limitations placed on him.
So you can't name 2.UC Davis AD and president were able to do it, I know your going to say they have the CA market
He’s won some he has lost some. He also hired the absolute worst hire in history when he hired Shannon Cate. Then Stitt was a bit of a dud. Then Holsinger not good. And he let the worst coaching staff hang around the softball program way too long. Looks like he finally made a great hire there. I like him and hope he stays with the U of M but he has missed plenty too.He hired the winningest coaches in the history of the basketball and football programs. Also a similar blind eye to the mediocre to poor volleyball programHe’s won some he has lost some. He also hired the absolute worst hire in history when he hired Shannon Cate.
