So you are OK for blaming a college kid doing something stupid on their own time on the coaching staff, yet don't think that the coaching staff should be criticized for coaching decisions like going super conservative when they get the lead two games in a row with bad results?
K, gotcha, as long as I understand where you are coming from now
Seriously though, for the sake of argument, lets say Delaney is judge fucking dread when it comes to the law and team rules.
There's a little thing though about college age kids... many of them are idiots

So even having the most strict football coach in the world isn't going to prevent them from occasionally doing stupid stuff.
I don't mean that in as harsh of a way as it comes across either... I was in that age range at one point too.. I was an idiot as well... In fact I'd say between the ages of 13 and 26, people should be considered still in their dumbass phase. After you hit about 26 you get into the "real world" phase and realize that you were an absolute fucking moron for the past 13 (give or take a few years) years of your life.
So...where am I going with this... eventually some player will fuck up big time, their name will be in the news, Florio will cackle with glee and spew out another error-laden article about it, and Cat fans will wet themselves with enjoyment seeing it. When that happens will that be Delaney's fault? In my opinion, unless he's the one whispering in the kids ear "Hey..dude...why don't you <insert idiotic college age shit here>...it'll be awesome!" then no... he's not at fault, and no he couldn't do anything to stop it from happening.
With that said... I do however think that the coaching staff is fair game for criticism when it comes to things like what we saw the past couple of games without being labeled bad fans or anything like that. If we were bad fans or bandwagon fans, or whatever other term people want to use, we wouldn't give a rats ass anymore and wouldn't even be posting about our frustration on a
fan message board
