No, a FEW of them are idiots. Just because you were an idiot doesn't mean most other college students are idiots. Maybe your friends were idiots, too. Still...........

And then there are those who are too old and senile to remember what it's like to be in that age range. Perfect example above :)

I think a lot of posters are getting confused about which North Dakota team we are playing this season (in regular season). North Dakota State is undefeated and have just about creamed every team they have played, including FBS Colorado State...this IS NOT the team we will be playing. We are playing North Dakota (UND). UND has had a pretty good season too with a 3 and 2 record (one was a close loss to San Diego State). A lot of posters predict that this is one of the teams we will lose to...I don't think so. Now if we were playing North Dakota State, we might. I like the 8-3 regular season prediction as well!!!!!

I suppose we could lose with about 5 turnovers or so but I agree we are unlikely to lose to ND. We'd get spanked by NDSU. I think they will repeat as champs.

UND is the toughest remaining game on our schedule. They won't be a walk in the park, especially with our pass defense.

Dude, they just lost to Suck State by 3 TDs. They aren't bad, but methinks you're hyping them way too much.

UND beat Sac State.

Are you thinking of ISU?

Have to agree with AllWeatherFan that UND is not going to be a walk in the park. They have a very good QB, which could be trouble if we don't get shit figured out in the secondary.

Yeah, complete brain fart there. Think I'll take a little vacay from posting...

Punch my ticket, because I'm climbing aboard the 8-3 Wagon!

And I agree that UND is the most-difficult game on the Griz schedule. I know Cat fans will say it's smack, but I just think the Griz match up extremely well against the cats. And, of course, that game is at home while the UND is in the dome.

I know about the turnovers and how they hurt... But heres an idea lets go force some turnovers. I mean 1 easy int is the only forced turnover in 2 full games. But really the bottom line is of course the Giz CAN run the table as they are more talented then the next 5 opponents, then the GRIZ/cat game. If the GRIZ play not to lose then they will let a lesser team hang in there and steal a win away. Griz will go 8-3,but if the Griz go 7-4 and that 4th loss is to the cats I cant see the GRIZ making the playoffs cuz they wont be able to show as many quality wins as others on the bubble. SO heres the scenario 8-3 then a home game(they will outbid anyone) then will play a top seed that overachieved and take them out and make magical run... AND its better this way LOL cuz the Magical run starts saturday as we need to win out to guarantee a playoff spot,so the PLAYOFFS are really already here!!SO rememeber when the GRIZ get back home it should be a PLAYOFF atmosphere cuz THE PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!!!!!!!!! By the way look it up the next coach of the GRIZZZZ should be ALLATOONA BUCS coach GARY VARNER... Someone do a little in depth research and you will find out why. CLEAN NO NONSENSE...Coached a while and head coach 4 years at school that was created 4 years ago... Follow ALLATOONA they are 5-0,see what they did last yr and this yr and realize they dont have ANY div1 college prospects and a thier opponents do. FUTURE IS bright if Engstrom is smart when Delaney steps down.. GO GRIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ(COACH VARNER WOULD LEAD US TO A NATIONAL TITLE)....as offensive coordinator at Roswell they won state title- ya thats in a 32 team playoff

The Sagarin Ratings are not a perfect gauge of teams, but they are one gauge. I posted this in the News section earlier this week. EWU is the only BSC team on our schedule ahead of us.

We'll always have Chicken Littles in Griz Nation. I really believe 8-3 is doable. I'm on the train.

And thats exactly why there are so many bad coaches in college. Cuz you have to know somebody for almost any job like our very own coach.. ignorance is bliss. lol heres the face of griz new coach lol http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/19727104/team-of-the-week-allatoona-buccaneers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Dude. This isn't Northern Colorado. You don't go from a high school job in GEORGIA to the University of Montana HC job overnight. I couldn't give a rip about all the "bad coaches in college". I only care about who's coaching the University of Montana and I am in no way prepared to hand the reigns over to someone who is not from the general area, has no recruiting ties to the Western U.S. where 98% of our recruits come from, has never recruited a college level player in his LIFE, has never coached a college game in his life, has never built a college coaching staff in his life, etc., etc., etc.

Keep dreaming, Mr. Varner.

I get what yer saying lol... I will still throw it out there lol...and GO BUCS join the bandwagon... and as we all know HAPPY HOMECOMING heres to 6-0 tonight

United we stand, divided we fall.

I mostly agree with you, but I do think the Griz might have been fine if they hired Brian Kelly back in '03 even though he never recruited the West. Maybe we do need a coach from some other part of the country to broaden our recruiting base. Maybe pull a few kids out of Minnesota/Iowa/Wisconsin?

There are better players in California playing at JC's than there are coming out of Minnesota/Iowa/Wisconsin. And IMHO, "broadening" our recruiting base means giving up many of the inroads made in the western states to other teams...no thanks.

http://www.gobison.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=2400&SPID=695&SPSID=11845" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; these guys got some pretty good players from Min/Iowa/Wisc. (and almost as many AZ kids as we have). I think the Cats were able to recruit a couple pretty good kids out of Texas as well. It is possible not every good FCS level player comes from the Greater Portland Metro area, we might be able to go a little lighter there.
