Respect the Flag as many people died and fight today for our freedoms. The Flag is what provides the life and reason players can be on the field in the first place.
I understand making stand to bring attention to a cause. However not supporting the Flag of YOUR country is disrespectful.
I have watched one NFL game once the whole Kapernick thing started.
I wonder what Kapernick would do if he was Home and heard someone breaking into his home or harming a family member? Would he just handle the situation and take matters into his own hands? I think not.... I suspect he places a 911 call and looks to those officers that he distrusts so much you know as in his eyes there pigs! Freakin joke!
It’s simple in my eye. You get pulled over by the police and they ask you out of the car and on your knees, you do it! They place you in cuffs, you don’t resist! If your detained it IS for your safety and the officers safety. That’s when things get sorted out. IF you did nothing wrong, have no warrants you go! If you have warrants or actually did something wrong then maybe you do go to jail and remain in cuffs as one should! I’m not see why this is so difficult.....

First off Congrats to Brock on his success. Second If you are going to protest something do it on your own time & not disrespecting anything or anyone. I personally like to display the American Flag on all appropriate holidays but have also decided to do it on Sundays during the NFL season. I refuse to watch anyone kneel prior to the game but still watch the NFL & concentrate on those respecting our National Symbol, those standing while the anthem is played. It is sad to me that many are kneeling just to make a political statement & do not like it being politicized on ESPN as well. Can we all just start getting along with one another? PLEASE!

Proud Veteran, proud 49er season ticket holder. I enjoy the National Anthem, and the flag holds a sentiment in my heart, but I am tired of the recent sanctimony. I have watched for years as America has plastered the flag on anything and everything to make a buck without so much as a peep from these newfound outraged "patriots." I saw it on a thong bikini, and many seemed to like it just fine wedged up the crack of a buxom female. No one said a word. I see it exploited with the images of flag draped coffins of veterans who did not return home in bullshit memes. These men and women had no chance to approve of the imagery, and not me, nor anyone has the right to assume how they felt. Using the fallen for political gain offends me more than anything that has been done in the NFL. It reminds me of Saving Private Ryan when they go through the dog tags like poker chips in front of the 101st Airborne; tactless. But those memes are pro America right? Because we say so? I see it plastered on Budweiser cans that are eventually crumpled up and tossed in the trash can on Sunday. None of you cared. Don't pretend you did. The only mistake these men made was expecting a cerebral response from a certain demographic. I may not like it, I may not get it, but that doesn't invalidate the message behind it. Respect the flag? Give me a break.
