I don't know about it being construed as a 'break-out' type of year for a player that's already affiliated MSU football, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised that a Tanner Roderick is going to be a bundle of problems for the BSC to handle. Is he listed officially as a sophomore or what, though? just wondering on that score.
Tanner roderick played his freshman and red shirt year at Nevada so I believe he is now a sophmore at MSU. He has been awesome so far, catching everything thrown his way. They are using him in a lot of different roles. This kid can do it all. He will be a weapon to be reckoned with!

I know jack squat about the Cants and will continue to - other than I would say their OC is smart, qualified and dangerous. If he has the tools to work with, the Cants offense could be potent. Fortunately, I think the offensive line is a bunch of "tools" if you know what I mean. Not as concerned this year, but if they recruit well he could have an impact with changing things up. Truly a shame that DM did not have one good consistent OC over the years. A hell of a player and the kid does not get enough credit for adapting to so many OC's. The Cants are supposed to have several good QB's waiting in the wings. They better. DM will be tough to replace. Additionally, the kid has class and carries himself well. If he was not a Cant - I would actually root for him. Too bad - he and the whole town of Bozo smell like Cat piss.
Copper, the OC is a proven commodity. The Cats record is very good despite the changes in offenive coordinators. Every OC that Ash has brought in has been better than the last. Yes there are three good QBs waiting in the wings plus Tanner Roderick. The true freshman Quinn McQweary is going to be a good one. He can pass and can run. He is a good all around athlete. Also Copper, I know your hoping the offensive line is still undersized but your wrong. It is the strongest it has been in years. Averages 297lbs. with an excellent OL coach in Jason McEndoo. The depth in the OL is excellent. You criticze our small OL last year but our record was 11-2. Your OL was bigger and stronger and you had a losing record. Hmm! If you look at DM's record over his years despite the change in OCs is outstanding.

Mac has always recruited mobile guys on the OL, more so that um has, that is one of the reasons the Cats have usually been light on the OL. Success in the last few years has allows Mac to land some bigger recruits that maintain that mobility. The biggest issue last year was experience and that they had not been able to fully develop yet. now we have a SO OL that has grown up and have a year of experience under their belt, combined with Cramsey's offense it makes for easier blocking schemes. The biggest surprise you will see will be the strength of MSU's OL, the second biggest surprise will be the strength of the DL, given that we graduated a NFL DT and a Buchanan winner last year, but we will probably have a better DL in '13 than we had in '12Copper Griz said:

bottom line is we don't know. i'd assume we're stronger there this year than last for the same reasons that griz faithful assume you'll be much stronger in your secondary.

Or even the griz O line. Are the knowledgeable griz fans concerned about them working in new players, gelling, etc.? I doubt it. I also question and truly "knowledgeable" Cat fan that has any question that our O line play will be improved in 2013. Read the Spring and now Fall practice reports, Colter's articles, and Listen to coach Mac. That will tell any Bobcat fans everything they need to know.
