Bobby is now 0-5 in National Championship games

Stitt was a mess. His lines were shockingly bad. Seymore’s interior linemen standing up scheme was so easy to run on it was embarrassing. Minus the very first game, Stitts teams regressed the program hard. He had great skill talent, but that was about it. He somehow had this mad scientist moniker but in reality his offenses, once they got on film, were predictable. Not FCS level. They worked (ish) at mines, but he never got out of the second round at the D2 level. Or at the FCS level either. Hauck is much more successful than Stitt was. He was better at the social media game, though.

Although he was the coach when Case Cookus got ejected for targeting then flipped out. That was such an odd game.
Stitt lost me when we lost to Northern Colorado of all teams and Griz players were on the Sidelines laughing and joking as the game wound down. Not only losing to arguably the worst Big Sky team (historically) but having your players not care was inexcusable.

I want to dislike this but I agree with it. Just didn’t want to give you a thumbs down

I was told anyone could have success at Montana...

First, the cats won because they are a better team. They have better talent. Period. Hiring an NDSU underling won’t solve it. Griz need more support than delivering pizzas. And stop Wiffng on local talent.
The cats didn’t have better talent. We were more talented at almost every position other than offensive and defensive line.

He was the only "exception" huh.
I get that you like Stitt. He just couldn’t do it. Hauck can’t either. There are so many built in advantages for the Griz that only having one conference champ in 14 years is inexcusable. Stitt or Bobby. The last championship win was 24 years ago and was won by Gen X players. These players are Gen Alpha. The Griz haven’t won a title in literal GENERATIONS.

Ya, I agree, but... Who can the department realistically hire??? This program doesn't have the funds to go get a win now coach. They have to take a risk, and we saw what happened with Stitt. Bobby keeps them competitive, and on the verge of Nationally good. This is the reality for UofM. Personally I really enjoyed watching this years team. Ah Yat and Wortham were awesome, and that is all I really expect. Bobby needs to make adjustments but I think we're all stuck with him.
They could do what the cats did and hire the next NDSU up and coming coach. If you’re a coordinator this is the best job you could Hope for. Cats did it and have been to 3 national titles with one.

Bobby is now tied with Cliff Hysell with 8 losses to his rival for the most losses in the history of the Brawl of the Wild.

The question now becomes will he own the record after the game in next November with 9 losses?

I guess we will have to wait another 335 days to see if he gets the record.

I was onboard with Stiit getting canned. I think you overestimate the advantages.

We are lil bro now no way around it
Wrong. Lil Bro refers to a lot more than just football. Do you remember Montana State College? Or the fact that the Bozeman campus was set up as the Ag and Mech Arts division of the University of Montana with the main campus in Missoula.

This is meant with the best of intentions and meant to change how we, as the Griz faithful, approach the Lil Bro topic.

That may have been the case in the distant past but they have surpassed Montana in every avenue. If we continue to live in the past and the world of make-believe, we will continue to fall behind.

Like it or not, we are Lil Bro. We have to own it or else we won't improve.

My sister who is 6 years my senior still calls me little brother despite the fact I out weigh her by a lot.
I just wonder why you're willing to give up the right to little bro. That seems defeatist to me.
Thanks for your opinion though.
