Bobby is now 0-5 in National Championship games

I really really like Bobby Hauck. I personally really enjoy the guy. He’s great for the program.

But in the most important game in his career. He got destroyed. We once again came out flat.

We got pushed around on the offensive and defensive line. I’m beginning to think Schmidt is correct. Our strength and conditioning coach isn’t producing.

He also has family ties to the Haucks. How long do Bobby and his friends get the best retirement gig in football?

All the support. All the fly fishing…all the QB club love.

The easiest think Kent Haslam could do is go hire a young NDSU assistant. Get someone that is hungry like Bobby 1.0. The cats program has past us.
It’s stunning how ill prepared the Griz were at the start of the game today…..and equally as stunning how quickly the train derailed in the 4th quarter.

I think things could be significantly worse if we replace Bobby with a new coach. Could things be better? Possibly. Might take a little while. I still think, as I said on here before Bobby was hired, that we are at the level of football that the ideal coach is relatively young in his career. They should have experience as an FBS coordinator or possibly displayed success as a head coach at a less established FCS school. Their ambition should be to move up making us a stepping stone position. Any coach hired here who isn’t trying like heck to move up ASAP (4-5 years ish) doesn’t have the drive we need in my opinion. Those coaches are out there I am sure. Finding one might be really difficult but thankfully universities pay someone pretty good money to find them. Again not advocating to replace Bobby. That is not my role and I do think Bobby cares a lot about UM and UM football.

Agreed but how, what or who do we bring in to change that? Trenches have been are issue all Bobby 2.0 but why ???

Do we throw to much nil money at skill players which we have ?? I'm not sure or don't have the answer but agree it is that one word . Trenches............
It was even an issue prior to 2.0. I think you overestimate how much NIL money there is.

First, the cats won because they are a better team. They have better talent. Period. Hiring an NDSU underling won’t solve it. Griz need more support than delivering pizzas. And stop Wiffng on local talent.

So you think anyone can walk in and do better than Bobby over the past 3 seasons?
Yes! Great coaches win big games! Bobby has not won a National Championship because he gets out coached in every one of them. He is the head coach! He refuses to make changes, the team is unprepared in almost every game. The fact that we have great athletes is why we are 13-2. The reason we aren’t playing for a national championship is coaching.

Are we “losing in the trenches” because we have inferior talent or due to our lack of ability to develop linemen? The linemen, specifically the defensive linemen, are developed to fit the scheme. I think most on here don’t trust our defensive base scheme. It is reported to be a fairly malleable/adaptive scheme.

I don't think the cats have better talent. They have developed their players better and that's exactly how NDSU operates. Vigen was/is an NDSU underling. He brought the NDSU model to MSU.

Stitt was awesome and he is anyone.

Tony Annese, HC at Ferris State, is 63 years old but he has won CHAMPIONSHIPS at every level of football he has coached.
