Bobby is now 0-5 in National Championship games

I was onboard with Stiit getting canned. I think you overestimate the advantages.
Cool. Sounds like everyone caught up then. I guess we can enjoy a new “streak.” It’s the morning after and I still want to burn it all down and start over. UM has clearly WASTED the last decade and a half with scandal, mismanagement, and hubris. If the advantage no longer exists, then we get to watch this outcome until it’s rectified. That starts by recognizing that there is a big ass problem with the university and the football program in general.

Stupid post. Illinois State can definitely win in Nashville.
I think you are trying to rationalize your loss to Illinois State and think, somehow, if they win the Natty, it makes the hairy cow's loss to the Redbirds less painful because it's proof that you would have won it all if you had beaten them at home.

More like play calling.
It's likely both. I have rewatched the 87 yard TD by the Cats on the 3rd and 20 multiple times and one player took a bad angle to the receiver to make the tackle and missed the tackle because they were out of position. That's stuff they teach you in middle school and high school football. Therefore, it could be both coaching and talent but I'm leaning toward talent.

Ya, I agree, but... Who can the department realistically hire??? This program doesn't have the funds to go get a win now coach. They have to take a risk, and we saw what happened with Stitt. Bobby keeps them competitive, and on the verge of Nationally good. This is the reality for UofM. Personally I really enjoyed watching this years team. Ah Yat and Wortham were awesome, and that is all I really expect. Bobby needs to make adjustments but I think we're all stuck with him.
All the Griz need to really get championship caliber is a damn defense. That is all.

Two defenders took themselves out.

We really need to get bigger on the offensive and defensive line. We would have the same size disadvantage the Cats are facing against Illinois State. If we want to win championships against the top MVFC teams we need to be strong enough to hang with them up front.

Your loss? I was not playing. I went to college there.

Illinois State has a great defensive line and Rittenhouse is a good QB. Brock Spack is one of the best coaches in the FCS.

I would bet on Montana State to win. I would not be shocked if Illinois State wins.
