The Cats had good O, but Weber would likely have had a bunch more if they hadn't had the 2 returns for TD's. Obviously, they lost a possession after each of those returns.

Not only did they lose a possession, but in essence MSU also GAINED a possession with no time running off the clock, which increases the amount of time they held the ball…

Sounds like a dominating strategy….

Kind of akin to how we should have let Sac score quickly at the end of the game so we’d have had more time.

I would say the Cat offense shredded the Weber defense with just under 500 yds. That aspect of the game I would say is dominating. The Weber defense has been pretty stingy this season, especially against the run.

The Cats had good O, but Weber would likely have had a bunch more if they hadn't had the 2 returns for TD's. Obviously, they lost a possession after each of those returns. The Cats were down in the first half under 59 second to go. Then were up in the second half.

You keep saying if Weber hadn’t done this or that. The reality is that they did do those things and lost the game. The bottom line is the Cat’s offense put just under 500 yds and 5 yds. Much more than any other team did to Weber this season. Call it what you want.

I’ll call it a gift of a victory. It was a Giftory.

Okay then, I call it extremely fortunate.

That call in the Sac game had much bigger impact than folks want to admit. Think about this….if that call is correct, the Griz win that game (no question). That would have them at 6-2 with a win over the #2 team in the county. Then if they beat CP and EWU, they are already 8-2 and the Cats game doesn’t become a play in game for playoffs. That shit show really f###[#] us and is having major impact.
There is some question. 4:00 left and they had all they're timeouts? There's a reasonable chance they get the ball back with a chance to score.

Regardless, I think the point you were making about dominating Weber is a tad bit overblown when you beat them by 5 and they spotted you 8 and 4 free possessions.

4 "free" possessions? How do you figure? I honestly want to know.

I get what you are saying but SS d hadn't had a three and out on any of the previous four drives and they didn't get one after we got the ball back with the score tied late. No reason to think they would have gotten one there.

Sure. If the call is correct the probability of a Griz win goes WAY UP, but it's not 100%.

I think it's fair to say it would have gone, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, WAAAAAAY up. In other words, they got fvcked.

It’s not 100% until the clock reads 0:00.

I have not been saying if Weber had or hadn't done something. I was countering you argument of Cat domination because you had so many more rushing yards. I said that Weber would have had more TO had they not "earned" 2 return TD's. The Cats put up "just under 500 yds and 5 yds"? See, you just made the same argument, again, without recognizing that what I just said. The Cats had the ball more because of the 2 returns for TD's, and Weber would have had more yards had they not had the 2 returns. Jeez, read.

If the game had got to triple OT, the Cats would have had more points. But so what? That means essentially nothing.

And when the horrible call was made, the SS chances of winning went way way up. Who cares about 100%?

Every team in the country at all levels has a 12th man on the field, and that man is a stud. No stats or stat column but make no mistake the guy is a freaking stud and his last name is momentum. He can turn on a dime and when you least expect it, expect it.
Even when a bad call goes for you or against you his last name does not change.

Yes, the fact is the Cats had the ball more and Weber might have had more yds.had they had not had the two returns, but it is all hypothetical. The Cats could have screwed up and not got more yds. Weber might have fumbled or had an interception after having not had the two returns. The bottom line is the Cats offense dominated the Weber defense in that game with just under 500 yds of total offense and 5 tds. Way over what the Weber defense gave up so far this season to any team. Get over it, the Cats have a good offense.
