Holy shit sac state is cleaning house in the portal. I mean literally getting some of the best out there. They are going to be really good.

Why would any power conference transfer with multiple offers, choose Sac State?

Well, he’s from Torrance. Maybe that helps explain it?

I believe there are basically two types of players in the portal:

1. Players that are killing at a lower level and feel they should be playing at a higher level; and

2. Players that have had less success at a higher level and want a chance to show what they can do which in most cases they will have the opportunity at a lower level.

This seems to be in line with Jalen Cone leaving Virginia Tech to go to NAU and Daylen Kountz leaving Colorado for UNC.

I may be misremembering but I believe he played in HS with Vasquez (Gianni Hunt).

which means that given what's transpired with Vasquez's trajectory, we didn't have a prayer of landing him even if we'd wanted him.

#5 JC Recruit spurns Oklahoma in the transfer portal for Sac State.

I really, truly believe Sac State should be in the top 3 of the preseason poll next year and if they're not, then even as a Griz fan I may be pissed off.

They won't finish in the top half of the league next year. New coaching staff almost always results in a .500 or lower record. Factor in the fact that Sac State is Sac State, and there you have it.

Wonder if he would have any interest in returning to the Big Sky?

It looks like Parker and Beasley are going to places where there will be more bench time.

I am going to have to disagree with this.

Here is the person Beasley was brought in to replace. All-Conference PG that played 34 minutes a game (now is in the portal).

At PSU, How good are the new transfers? According to their stats I wouldn't expect them to set the Big Sky on fire and the fact that combined they averaged 2.3 assists a game would lead me to believe they are completely different players than and would have no impact on how much Parker plays.

Not a transfer, but an interesting 6’8 signing by Sac State. Has Sac State had the most impressive Big Sky off-season so far?
