I can't believe bobby had any relationships other than hatred for our team. He promoted it. I even had his uncle come up to me and apologize for bobbys behavior
I heard a guy talking about BH a while back that said after Cat/Griz '07 BH was flipping the bird to a bunch of cat fans as the bus was pulling out of the parking lot. Not sure how true it is but I can almost believe it.
Yup, That's true. Bobby was not Joe Glenn, and for sure was a far cry from
Don Read, but he was 80-17 while at UM. Hard to argue that the guy was successful.
He moved up to the "Big Show", makes $35000.00 base and has gone 7-34 since
leaving Missoula. Mick did something that mended some fences within our great
state. Good for him and both programs. :thumb:
Yeah, Bobby Ball kinda dropped the ball when he got to UNLV. Can't imagine how thats gotta feel. Maybe a small dose of karma coming back to him from the crazy $hit he did here in Montana. Well, at least we're all aware that Coach D is a pretty decent guy. I always figured he was but this was a permanent stamp of it.

I hope DM does make it back, can't think many teams would not have wanted him on their team. Good luck DM :thumb: and here is to both teams staying healthy for the rest of the season so they can beat the crap out of each other in November

If that's an uncle's job, yours must be very busy.....

Man. What a classy thread and classy posts about a classy move.

Prior to BH becoming coach, I cheered for the griz in the playoffs. Dallas Neill was one of the nicest guys I know. No way I couldn't cheer for him.

Well since we are at it I hope he gives all the bobcats hugs and HJ's when they play the game too. Fu@k class and FTC. LOL

What the hell is going on in this altered universe. I am not sure if I like the "who can be nicer" trend.

Maybe the letter was laced with something.

This thread is a four-peat!

A little reality for all of us rabid fans. This is just a game. Nice job coach, but I think it was his bobcat upbringing that made him this way.

It is a sporting gesture. Very classy. And come on guys, we want a win over the cats to mean something. For 17 straight years that last regular game was not a real boost in the post season playoff picture. Since DM, that win means more to the post season. Hope the cats are still overrated when we play this year!

Yeah. But the Cats still weren't relevant until the DM era now were they. I use my nephew as as measure. He was born when the streak started and was a HS senior when it ended.

Good Lord, this thread is nauseating! It's a nice gesture, but still, FTC.

I don't have a problem with Bobby 's attitude towards the cats but I'm sorry to say he actually IS friends with many cat alums (even lulay.) However, I am equally fine with those that don't know him to vilify him if it helps the rivalry!

Is it about time to get past that? How old is your nephew now? Seriously get over it

Respecting your opponent does not mean you go soft and don't want to beat their ass when you line up across from them. I am not a fan of Delaney as the head coach for several reasons, but the guy is a class act - period. He did not run up the score against OKPHSU or PSU. He ran the clock with second and some third third stringers in. He could have been an ass in both games, but took the high road. I remember being at the first scrimmage this year and he was yelling to one of the team assistants to "get that off of there". MD was on the field and he was yelling up to the press box. It took me minute to figure it out, but the scoreboard showed a very lobsided score in favor of the Griz over the Cats. MD wanted it taken down and he wanted it done quickly. I may not agree with his play calling and football philosophies - yet I have nothing but respect for the man as a human being and leader. I wish him and DM both well. Just hope the Griz send DM home with a loss in November.

Saw in the recap of the MSU/NAU game that McGhee was injured late in the game. Was it a "reinjury" or something different? Any word on seriousness?
