Awesome Coach D!

When you see a class act like this which is awesome, it makes all the trash talk on here and BN seem really small!

I have a new found respect for your coach. Very classy move.

Very classy on both sides. DM is a great player, never been in trouble and has been nothing but a postive influence on the MSU program. Very nice jesture by Delaney.

Very nice move by coach Delaney. I know coach and DM had a nice chat at the Big Sky coaches meeting in Utah this summer. If you had the chance to get to know the kid, you would like him too. He reminds me of Colt Anderson. Great player, very nice person and very humble. Hats of to the Griz. Now lets both go kick the shit out of the rest of the Big Sky.

I think the thing I like most about this event is the fact that MSU is the one who tweeted it. It wasn't a PR move by UM and MSU was gracious enough to show the world that the coach at UM is a class act. Good stuff all around.

Do we still have any PR at this school.

One too many......................

Yes i admit I have got caught up in doing this. But, seeing this class act today will definitely impact any posts I make in the future. I find it hard now to not root for Coach Delaney unless the Griz are playing the Cat's.

It was/is a very classy move by Mick -- and, I believe, a genuine one. I also believe that Denarius is most deserving of the support of every one of us. You can always root for a worthy individual without rooting for the team for which he/she plays.

Agreed.

I've said it often. Between players and coaches, there isn't near the hatred in this rivalry that some fans want to believe there is. The hate is for the fans. The players and coaches in this rivalry know each other, they see each other, their paths cross, they have things in common, they understand each other and they respect each other. I'm sure there are examples to the contrary, but generally speaking, 364 out of 365 days a year, that hatred some want to believe exists, really doesn't.

Yep. Even Bobby Hauck had some respectable relationships with Cat players/coaches. The out of state players really didn't grow up with the rivalry. The in-state players know many of the in-state players on the other side and are friendly for the most part. Really, fans are the only ones with enough time on their hands to develop a hatred for a football team.

I can't believe bobby had any relationships other than hatred for our team. He promoted it. I even had his uncle come up to me and apologize for bobbys behavior

I heard a guy talking about BH a while back that said after Cat/Griz '07 BH was flipping the bird to a bunch of cat fans as the bus was pulling out of the parking lot. Not sure how true it is but I can almost believe it.

Yup, That's true. Bobby was not Joe Glenn, and for sure was a far cry from
Don Read, but he was 80-17 while at UM. Hard to argue that the guy was successful.
He moved up to the "Big Show", makes $35000.00 base and has gone 7-34 since
leaving Missoula. Mick did something that mended some fences within our great
state. Good for him and both programs. :thumb:

I loved dean read. Great guy. I am not trying to start a "classy" thread. Hard to hate you guys when read was at the helm. Very easy with bobby. Delaney is another great person. Great letter he sent to McGhee. (Walking away...trying to think of something I hate about your team...)

NL I was there but it wasn't after the game it was before the game when the griz bus was pulling in. None the less a class act by coach D.
