Higher than any Cat game this season.

25,684, official attendance. I thought there were more. Ha.

1/2 left at halftime 😆

A lot of people want to boxes and canyon club. The CC was packed. They started running out of beer. How did the game turn out?

At no point did the stadium look that full on tv. I would have guessed 21-23k

There's no way it was 25k. My dad, who is a cheer for the MT team guy) and my brother(griz fan) and I were at the game and all remarked how it looked about 3/4 full. The ladies next to us were talking with us about the same thing.

We showed up an hour before the game and it was easy to find parking close to the game.

That’s because it is PAID attendance that makes up that figure. It’s how many tickets were actually bought, not a physical count of every person inside of the stadium.

First time I’ve ever been in the CC was last night. What a venue. Watched the end of the Bama/LSU game then went back out to our seats. Anyone with season tickets there is definitely spoiled.

How much are season tickets to the CC?

I was actually impressed. There were way more people in there at the beginning than I thought there would be, given the weather, hunting, etc. I’d say it was a solid 22K to start. That went down to maybe 6-7k in the 3rd quarter though.

Personally, I know of about dozen from our tailgate that didn't make it. Mostly due to conflicts and weather driving conditions.

That I’m not sure. We sit in section 225 and two guys came out to our tailgate at half and said they were leaving and just handed us their CC lanyard passes and said go warm up. So we obliged!

I was thinking the same thing at the kickoff. The crowd was energetic, loud and into the spirit. I was thinking around 22k or a bit more. Good crowd with the conditions.
Go Griz!

Go Griz!

Even the small crowd that stayed for the second half stayed nice and loud for its size.

That’s like, what, 55k in RHS math?

They used to be $1,000 outside and $1500 inside. The price went up a bit. I will see I can find what I paid.

It's fun up there. Fairly social. Some visiting celebrity types. The alcohol. You can watch from seats or the decks. The food is okay. There are a lot of tv's inside, mostly not the Griz game. The bathrooms are good, and seldom overly busy. My seats are row 1 outside. A number of former players there. A few egrizzers.

There were no places to sit in the CC yesterday. Lots of people socializing, drinking and warming. I talked to a guy who had been given tickets at a tailgate at halftime. We watched the end of the LSU game together. He was an LSU fan.

I think it was $1250 for outside seats this year. There is now a waiting list to get those, which I was surprised as they were somewhat easy to get in prior years.

That was probably my buddy Steve I went up there with. His mom grew up in Louisiana so that’s why he’s an LSU guy.

Yes, I saw you at the table next to me too, as I started to talk to Steve. Had a good conversation with him.

Is it hard to accept that the official attendance announced (for all of the NCAA) is tickets sold, not actual butts in the seats? Most of the discrepancy is for season ticket holder no-shows. Larger for this game than most for all the reasons cited. We have in the range of 19,000 season ticket holders. Nevertheless, the revenue did not take a hit.

We need the night games in September, not November. It's MT!
