What is it with your hatred of Eastern Fans? I'm a Bobcat Alum, my son plays for Eastern, and alot of my family lives in Missoula and are Griz alum. I go to all the games and the only disrepect I've ever seen or received was after this years Eastern win over MSU, and christ, i'm an alum, but was wearing Eastern colors. I had a great experince last year in Missoula, even though my son tore his ACL in that game. Yes, I DO root for the Cats and the Griz in the playoffs. Apparently you had a hoorible experience at an Eastern game a few years back?? Sorry if this was true. Always welcome at my tailgate dude!! Maybe it's just because Eastern's football program is on the rise? Just curious for your rebutal.

Every experience with EWU away or home is horrible. The fans are no class asshats, I wish and pray that some day your fan base achieves the next rung on the ladder that the incestuous cousins/brothers/sisters have achieved years ago. Lower than inbreeders and dumber than PR.

I remember UM fans coming to Spokane / Cheney cheering for EWU - I posted that on another thread on here. What I want is UM fans (and MSU fans) to admit that they are scared of EWU winning another National Championship.
Another championship would give EWU two titles, one less than the Griz and the same amount as MSU. And that would be two recent titles. The Griz haven't won one for over a decade. And the Cats, well we know how long it's been there.

Funny to see how Griz fans only want whats best for the Big Sky conference, when the Grizzlies are winning the Big Sky conference.

Yup, I rooted for the Montana boys last year when we stayed home ... seems like for some who prefer to go against the local schools it was misplaced loyalty. That's fine, you're entitled to cheer for whomever. We had fun when we went to App State as well and I have all the respect in the world for their program. Should they beat the Redbirds and we take care of business, it will be a lot better to host them as it's no fun to make that trip this time of year. No doubt it will be a good game. That said, if they were playing another BSC team for a shot in the semifinal, I'd be rooting for the BSC team regardless of the team and the rivalry.

Eagle fans, I'd take it as a point of pride that many Griz fans dislike you. You don't see many Griz fans with dislike for Sac St, UNC, or NAU because we routinly beat those teams. A few might have other reasons for the dislike due to personal experiences, but most of it is because you have become a rival. The more we grow to hate you, the happier I'd be if I were you. I'm sure if App St. were in the BSC many would have a similar hate on them as well. Efforts to try and get support on a message board probably isn't worth your time.

Anyways, App. St. has come to be sort of a "sister program" for us. They have a very similar program and have very classy and loyal fans. There is a mutual admiration that is pretty rare in college football, which is kind of cool.

I'll be rooting for EWU just because I'd like to see the BSC better their track record in the playoffs. Beyond your title a couple years ago and our runs in the playoffs, our conference hasn't performed all that well in the post season.

Highline nailed it!! I've felt the same way but an EWU fan saying it on here wouldn't go far. That's why I have no problem with Griz fans hating us.. With success comes hate.

If EWU can't win it this season, then I'd like to see Cal Poly get a crack. Then probably a distant third would be Montana State. But all three Big Sky teams have a tough road ahead of them and it sucks that all three are in the same side of the bracket so Eastern has to potentially beat one of those teams twice in the same season, which is never easy to do.

Other than the BSC teams, I'd go with App State or Ga Southern, and after that ANYONE but NDSU.

Your whole deal with getting tickets to the EWU game created a lot of hate. I used to admire your program. After all that bullshit I hate it.

Horrible reason. UM does the same thing to EWU with tickets to the UM/EWU game in Missoula. So the same reason you hate EWU is something your school does to us. Hey pot, meet kettle.

UM doesn't do it to EWU fans, they do it to their own fans. UM just wants an excuse to jack the price on their own fans for some more money to build stuff with. EWU jacks the price on Griz fans because that's the biggest crowd they get.

Speaking for myself (though I'm sure not alone), I don't like EWU or MSU. I did root for you guys in the chipper a few years back, & probably will again if you're fortunate enough to make it. But I have the utmost respect for App St. & their fans, which I don't for peewu or moo u. If you can't understand why someone won't root for a team they don't like, then you obviously don't know sports.
