I think you're right CDA. ilovethecats is gonna push this thread to 17 pages then BOOM, drop the hammer with HD footage of the cats greatest football victory of all time.

Your "Tear down this wall" quote earlier in the thread had me laughing. Nicely done!

I'm fully expecting it.
Can't wait, only two more pages until we see the proof!!.

Something just occurred to me. cat fans like to point out that UM used to be called Montana State. Is it possible that the "NC" they claim in "84" was actually won by UM before the name change and now they're just assuming no one remembers when the name change happened? I'll look into it.

I wonder if Cotton-eyed Hoe is keeping up with this?? I think he/she was really wanting some proof of this pretty bad

Good call. Wouldn't that be a punch in the throat if this is what happened. I think the name change was going on in the 60s tho.

Good lead. I think the more angles we look at, the better. There has to be some sort of explanation. Nary a Cat fan wants to even touch this because it seems they know the real truth.

EDIT: 16.

Agreed. Also, what was the cat season record in '83 and '85? Legit question 'cause I haven't been able to find out.

I would like to know that also. Ran into an old drunk in the bar a few years ago that claimed he played for the cats in the early 80's. Said his name was Brad Kelly. I wanted to learn more but he smelled so bad I couldn't get close enough!
