I know what you mean Hammer. Facts are pretty tough to come by from cat fans. Combine that with drunken behavior and body odor and you have the ingredients for a "mythical" NC.

I would like to know that also. Ran into an old drunk in the bar a few years ago that claimed he played for the cats in the early 80's. Said his name was Brad Kelly. I wanted to learn more but he smelled so bad I couldn't get close enough!

That is obviously a trick question. Based on my research, MSU did not field a team in 1983 or 1985. Not a single cat fan can refute this either, I might add.

Some very, very deep research (pre-internet!) shows that in '83 the cats were 1-10. In '85 they went 2-9. I guess the cat fans want us to believe that '84 was the meat in a shit sandwich. Highly doubtful.

iltc. A cat fan proclaiming himself MVP of a thread on e-griz. A cat team proclaiming themselves National champions. Hmmmmm.
 
Well, since not a single cat fan can give ANY sort of proof of the 1984 NC, I'm almost certain that it is a big fat fucking lie. Not sure why I'm surprised. It really is disgraceful, and every single cat fan should be ashamed.
