I LOVE history.

So many damn memories I'll cherish forever that I've got to share with my family and friends.
I actually feel bad/unfair/guilty sometimes because of the amount of success we Griz fans have got to enjoy vs other schools.

The great thing is as long as we're FCS it will likely stay like this forever. How many other FCS schools pack a stadium with 26,000+ every game?

Like it or not that is a massive recruiting advantage.

I was at a party @ holter lake a couple months ago and there was a cat fan with "fuck the Griz" tattooed on his ass. Was also wearing a FTG hat.

I laughed my ass off and told him that was the biggest example of Griz envy I had seen in my life.
His face turned red and he had nothing to say.

I'll give the Bobcats props for their national championships (heck, I think they even got one in hoops in the 1930s). I even wore one of their 1984 championship t-shirts a few times (Christmas present from a Bobcat little brother). But gimme a break. 2011 is "lately". Other than when Lulay and McGee have played, the Bobcats have been crap for almost 30 years. Rock on and beat your chest all you want, but last year was the first losing season for the Griz in how long? And it was 5-6, not 0-11, with the Griz competitive in almost every game they lost. You won't see a 5-6 team this year, and the Griz will not leave Bozo in defeat come November. Bank it.

It's simple. The University of Montana has better players than montana state university, but montana state might have better coaching. I like our chances against App State and think App State would beat the cats.

Reminds me of a time a couple years ago when I was in a Montana sports bar off the beaten track and the televisions aplenty had both the Bobcat's and the Griz games on. There was a couple Bobcat fans in front of me and they were cheering the NAU team in playing the Griz much more so than cheering on the Bobcats when they were winning their game. One of them jumped up on a long TD pass by NAU sayin':..."I told you so!...I told you so!" I swear, they wanted the Griz to lose more than they wanted their own Bobcats to win of which they were mostly ignoring as just some side event sort of deal anyways. I said something like Cody Kirk was somehow missed in being recruited by the Griz and one old bitty reacted like I just nailed Christ to the cross or something. These weren't college age spectators, either. These were your typical everyday booster age types. Geez. Talk about shallow fans. Much more the... :hater: than the... arty: Nothing but a bunch of... :loser: I kid you not.

Hey, man, I don't know personally that it happened. I can't sit here and say that I know MSU won a game in 1984 based on some dude saying that it happened. I'll hold out until I see some evidence.
