After game incident need Brint to clarify

If I would have seen this idiot harassing an opponent like that I would have punched him myself .
 
This is a cool clip of the final drive, it also happens to catch the punch thrown at the fan who got down on the field. At 2:56 in the lower right corner you see it happen.

Not sure if I am seeing the right, but it looks more like Chase is pushing the fan out of his face than anything. I don't have too much of an issue anymore with this.

Looks like a complete non issue to me on your players part. The fan got in his face and looked to make contact to me. #25 pushed more than punched from what I could see and did nothing wrong. Looks like he walked away the best he could IMHO. The fan should get banned, stupid move on his part.
 
Thanks Brint. Fan initiated contact 1st. I'm guessing that's the main reason players don't remove their helmets after the game.
 
Number 25's Dad was sitting in the north endzone in the 1st row in section 131 and let me tell you, that guy was a complete douche bag.. Such an arrogant prick! All the other fans there were great. It was a good time. One fan i was talking to was a Michigan graduate and he said our place is louder than the big house. He said he couldn't even hear himself think. Great atmosphere yesterday!
 
This is why fans shouldn't be on the field before the visiting team exits. Not a good decision by NDSU 25, but this was the biggest home game of the year and UM should have had better security.

I don't think Chase(#25) made a bad decision, he did what anyone would have done. Got the idiot away from him, I hope your admin finds out who that kid was and bans him from all home games. It is idiots like that wreck things like going down on the field after the games for everyone.

Exactly. The fan shouldn't have been down there. And #25 needs to make better decisions.
 
A player should never hit a fan. If that is what happened then the Bison player needs to be suspended. What happens to the fan is Montana's call. As an alum of NDSU, I am embarrassed if a player acts like that.

That's my thinking, too. A player needs to have some more restraint and display better decision making. A dumb fan is a dumb fan, but the player who threw a punch should likely sit for a few games.

Once you as a fan lay your hands on a player, what happens next is the result of your own stupidity. Chase didn't want to push the guy or do anything, he just wanted to get off the field.

No player should ever have to deal with BS like that.

Agreed. It was a dumbass move by the fan. But I don't think I'd be proud if a Griz player hit a fan. To each his own. :thumb:
 
I don't think any fans are allowed on the field until the visiting team exits, not sure how this idiot ended up there but it probably wasn't exactly "legal" for lack of a better word.

Moron is lucky it was just a shove.
