Out of curiousity, if he played, and sounds like he played well in OK as a frosh, what brought him to zootown?

He transferred from Oklahoma after the NCAA punished him and QB Rhett Bomar for receiving impermissible benefits. There was a car dealership that, if I recall correctly, was paying them as if they were full time employees when they actually were not. Quinn was ordered to pay back $8100, sit a full season, and Oklahoma had their 2005 season vacated.

Stark difference between him and Johnny Manziel who was paid $7500 and just had to sit a half of a game. But hey that's the NCAA for ya.

And he won the Heisman wouldn't want to tarnish the image too much. Or lose TV ratings because he is suspended all season.

C'mon people. We can't just offer the job to someone from the UM football family. That is frowned upon.

JD could be a good complement to Gragg; SG knows tackles; JD knows guards and centers. And there would be no one better to teach DOLA. I would guess JD could give Ash a run at Texas recruiting as well. Did JD complete his degree?
