You're right, 8-5 is good enough.

There was a time when Griz recruits could be guaranteed to play in a natty...that is a fact.

I was wrong to think a blue-blood of FCS football should perform as such. Maybe climate change will bring some warmer weather...

Raise your expectations...Montana Football...not for the timid or weak...

LOL, where did I say anything about 8-5 being good enough? I blow up your argument and you spew a bunch of sewage.

You are among the content. I am among the restless. That is the point you and those like you missed.

You have never blown anything up in your life...and I spew facts and the truth.

Be a better fan - raise your expectations - or remain timid and weak.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. The dumbing-down of Griz Nation is real. They seem to accept 6th place conference finishes with ease and "hope for next season". I guess the definition of insanity........ "doing the same thing over-and-over again, and expecting a different result" escapes them.

Except that we have had years of different results leading up to last year....

Did you just start watching the team last year? Or blackout 2018 through 2021?

Why do you hate the Grizzlies?

I would argue that I am amongst the realists, while you, well........

When was the last time that you weren't disappointed with Griz football?

Soldier, I take this moment as an educable opportunity. What happened last year was an abomination. NOBODY who is a Griz fan saw that as satisfactory. The reasons for that sh*tshow have been argued here ad nauseum.

Now, take last year out of consideration an look at BH 2.0, and you will see a different picture. Compared to the Delaney/Stitt show, the Griz are on an upward trajectory. Last year was a fluke
See the big picture. Enjoy this season. It's gonna be a good'n. :thumb:

Show of hands, how many believe 8-5 was "good enough"? I would wait, but that would be a forever wait.

I literally don’t know a single Griz fan who was happy or satisfied with last year’s results. Everyone wants to see marked improvement over last year, and arguing that anyone thinks last year was “good enough” is a losing argument.

As one who has never lost an argument, preferring to change positions like a Chameleon changes it's colors, yes, I agree.

Satisfaction = 15-0 and NC!

What I learned in the corporate world was that as a leader, you craft and manage expectations, every single day. If you're not any good at that, you're going to fail, regardless of your other qualities or abilities. Had Hauck not come out and said "best", and broadcast it far and wide, I'd bet significant monies that most Griz fans would have chalked up last season to injuries, inconsistent QB play, bad breaks, and playing in one of the two most competitive conferences in the division. And let's not forget, the program legend ensures that everyone is bringing their A-game to Missoula or at home when Montana is on the schedule.

Sure, finishing sixth in the conference and being shellacked in bozeman is embarrassing, but far more so when the expectations created by leadership don't match up with the results. It's my sincere hope that Bobby learned that lesson. It's Ok to say RTD, Best, or whatever when establishing goals and objectives with the team and staff. But not so much for the thousands of Griz fans whose expectations weren't met. Under-promising and over-delivering would be a great strategy for 2023 in terms of quieting the critics and getting the program to its goals and objectives.

Why do you hate the Grizzlies?

Why do you accept mediocrity from a program which has the biggest recruiting advantages in all of FCS football?

You don't get it, do you? This isn't about last season. This is about a coach who came into the program puffing-up his chest and promising a "Return to Dominance". Instead, he has delivered a downward spiral of results, culminating last season with his worst performance in his tenure. Is that too difficult for even you to understand why serious Griz fans want better???

We can banter this issue until Hauck beats the Cats, but here is the reality in Griz Nation.

The VAST MAJORITY of Griz fans are unhappy with Hauck 2.0, and do not believe that he can turn it around. The members of this board do NOT reflect the feelings of the silent majority of Griz fans. I talk to too many Griz fans who don't support Hauck to believe anything else.

The pressure is on Hauck this season, and if you don't believe this you are smoking something green or white. I know for a fact that Bobby is feeling that pressure too, from a very good source. So, keep telling yourselves that he has no pressure from above, and you'll be wrong again.

Ok, so what is your recommended consequences if Bobby delivers yet another result similar to last season?

Where did I say anything about not wanting better? My point is that expecting 10 wins and a couple playoffs games isn't a bad thing. I always hope for better. The last 3 seasons win totals were 10, 10, 8, hardly a downward spiral. Also, they only won 6 games in his first year back, so not the worst performance of his tenure, but probably the most disappointing. Crazy that people think 10 wins is bad. Serious Griz fans hope for better Griz fans than you.

You sound like a politician.
On what data do you base your assessment?
I would say, the vast majority of Griz fans are....unhappy with last seasons results, based only on posts on eGriz. Agreed?

You okay? You seem pretty obsessive. Take a breather. There is a lot out there in your life to be happy about, I'm sure. Successful in business, a wife that everyone seems to agree is lovely. Go find some joy.

As it is now, you're gonna have a heart attack and die mad at a football coach who doesn't even know your name.
