I don't understand why some are so dead set on hating Bobby Hauck that they take the worst season since he returned, and assume every season will be that bad in the future.

Stat. It's all stats. One season IN A ROW!!!(sarcasm). The upcoming season will prove the grenade chuckers wrong. :grenade: How many coaches, ADs, and fans across the FCS would consider a 8-5 season the beginning of the end? An aberancy of a season at that.

You clearly don’t understand how college athletics work at an institution with fairly big boosters. Haslam doesn’t have “power”. He has decision making abilities based on “when” boosters give him pressure or a coach exits involuntarily because of behavior/performance or a better job. There is absolutely no reason to get rid of Hauck. He has brought stability back to a floundering program and this year will prove why the boosters and Haslam have stayed the course. MSU’s basketball program just got decimated when their coach left. Not worth the risk because some unrealistic fan wants to win every single year. You are a moron if you think someone else would have picked up the pieces faster than Hauck. It takes time to rebuild a program. He has done it and one tough year isn’t evidence that the program is heading in the wrong direction. Wake up.

If you think BH or Boosters have more power than the Administration you really are stupid. BH will not be retained if this season is anything like last season.

Only a fool considers it to be the indication of the state of the program without looking at the whole graph. It does, of course provide fodder for the program and BH detractors who are perfectly comfortable to over-exploit a down year.

I think MSU's success since 2019 has added a huge sense of urgency to a lot of fans' expectations, whether they'd admit it or not.

To them, it's bad enough that we aren't where we should be, but the fact that MSU is makes it all the more unacceptable. cat fans coming in here crowing about it'll always be like this are incredibly dumb and in for a rude awakening, but their taunts about how it's getting to our fanbase are 100% correct. Shit, this is the first time in my entire life that MSU has been head and shoulders better than UM for this long, and I'm not ashamed to admit how much I hate it.

But we have to also realize that letting that push us into making stupid reactionary decisions won't for sure get us there any quicker.

How about championships? How about warm weather? How about STEM programs? How about proximity for family for those California recruits? I could go on and on, but I think you see how UM doesn't have EVERY advantage. I understand that some of these are out of UM's control, but just as important to some.

Your strategy of finishing 3/4/5, backing into the playoffs, playing 2nd game onward on the road has been tried.
