A Freight Train With No Brakes

NDSU is the king, they earned it for two years in a row. But the beauty of the FCS is that it doesn't matter what you did in the past, it must be proven again every time you play. The Bison are dominating, there is no doubt about it. But with a little luck (no injuries) this team has the makings of a darned good fight with them. I wouldn't predict a winner, so I can't predict a loser either. It would be great if we could meet up in Frisco, because from what I understand, the Bison faithful are a class bunch. We need a good competitive rival with class fans now that App is gone. I like the idea of NDSU being the next.

You guys don't get it.

NDSU would DOMINATE us on both the DL and OL. They would do to us what we are doing to other teams. Their lines are flat nasty, cocky and they have proved it for years. They line up and hit people in their FBS faces while we beat App St and UND.

No comparison.

Ugh. You are making me sad. I would like to think there is a glimmer of hope for someone to beat this team once they reach the playoffs. One bad game and well.....game over for the season.

Concur.

NDSU has a lot of great championship teams, but this is the best team in NDSU history. On the upside, a Frisco or playoff loss to them would be a great primer for next year... when they may be mortal again.

Next year we lose our entire O-line and our entire starting LB crew. Hate to say it, but THIS is the year...Frisco or bust.

NDSU is great but beatable. This team could take them on and win, especially if we get even better as the season rolls on. IMO this team is truly motivated and has the fire to win.

Talking NDSU up as unbeatable by this UM team is simply untrue.

Yes on the LB's but Poole, Schmaing, both the Hines twins return and we have some youngsters that will step up. The cupboard is far from bare on the OL and Gragg will coach em up. We have decent depth at LB also. I'm not ready to concede that this year is our only chance to win an NC.

At the beginning of the playoffs last year, you could have gotten 22/1 odds on the Ravens. There's a reason they play the game.

I believe our OL can match any out there. Even our DL and linebackers would have trouble with our big boys. A couple of great passes by JJ and Travon Van juking some Bison out of their cleats and we would definitely score some points.

Whether we would win the game, well I would just like the opportunity to see AG proven wrong.

True but the only way an FCS team beats NDSU is if NDSU turns the ball over or beats themselves.

This. No one in the FCS is beating NDSU. They only lose if they beat themselves. We are better than we were last year, but both of our 2 wins are against teams that are not as good as they were last year.

But they still have to play someone in that National Championship Game, don't they? Might just as well be the Griz!!!

I have yet to see a Griz team beat North Dakota State in football since 1969-70. One doesn't get to beat them if you don't play them.

Why worry about it until you get there?

NDSU is a very polished team right now. They don't make many mistakes at all. Right now the Bison are averaging 12.74 penalty Yards a game. Given that they had a player ejected on a controversial play Saturday, it's a good bet the penalties at K-State were minimal if not nonexistent.
The Griz aren't there yet.

There isn't any doubt here. So stop it. These boys are ripped and ready to shred some people. After what happened last year, who isn't pissed?! Can you imagine what it's like on that field? Who's gonna stop damn near 1600 LBs of starting fluid? And when there is 8 of them up there? Travon and Canada in the back RARING to go like freshly branded stud horses!? You better MovE!! Or the other option is to watch JJ on the option? HA! Or do something about it. Right?

Props to NDSU but this is Montana!! Compare the records. The Grizzlies are built for this and this is what they do, year in and year out. This is the program we've invested in and/or rooted for our entire lives. Like AZ said FRISCO OR BUST!!!!
UP WITH MONTANA BOYS!!!!

You talk up NDSU almost as much as you did App State back in 2009.

Remember how much confidence you had that the Griz would lose to App State?

You just dont get it, but you will start to on Saturday.........................scratch that, you will be one of the guys making excuses on here probably about the field conditions or the refs.
