# 7 stadium.....

Congrats and you're welcome :clap: http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68078" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I did the updated review of Washington-Grizzly Stadium after a visit last fall. Stadium Journey has hundreds of correspondents all over the world. Some are professionals, but most are amateurs like myself. I had followed the site for a while when the owner put out a request for a Montana correspondent. I volunteered and did a review of Bobcat Stadium. Later I did Worthington Arena, then reviews for the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Missoula Osprey so they could get reviews of all minor league ballparks. I hope to get to more places eventually. I'll freshen up Worthington Arena this winter since its been reconfigured, maybe get to some more Pioneer League parks this summer, and maybe Holt Arena in Pocatello next fall. The Dahlberg Arena review needs freshening up and more pictures as well so I hope to do that someday too.

When we review a venue we rate the food and beverage, atmosphere, neighborhood, fans, access, return on investment, and bonus points-all on scale from 1 to 5. My overall rating of your stadium came out to be a 4.4 which is very good. It turned out to be the 7th highest rated college football venue in 2014.

Every now and then the StadiumJourney.com website puts out a rating based on all these different reviewers using their scoring system. It's fun, sometimes creates controversy, and most importantly-a lot of clicks on their website. But since it's not the same person going to all the venues, the rankings end up being somewhat arbitrary. Some correspondents are more stingy with their rankings than others. Also, some stadiums may have a great atmosphere and fans, but really bad access or food or something and it really dings their overall average. So things can get a little out-of-whack. But that creates the controversy and the fun and the clicks.

Washington-Grizzly is a great venue, and I think the ranking is well deserved. But surprise-surprise...y'all have a die-hard loyal-long suffering Bobcat fan to thank for it.

Oh, the irony...

Weird list overall....no UTenn? Army? Bizarre.

In the end, its just one guy's opinion, and we have no idea what the criteria was. Perhaps where he got drunkest?
It is a bizarre list because almost all of those stadiums are dumps but you can not state the obvious here or people will call you names and attack you for your opinion.

Not saying that this list doesn't make sense, but it doesn't make sense at all. :D

I've been to Wa/Griz stadium once and enjoyed the game, but, to say it is a top 10 of ALL football stadiums is a stretch.

Any list of best college football stadiums, which includes atmosphere, and does not start with LSU Tiger Stadium is questionable at best.

These folks seem to have never been to Death Valley or Oregon or the Swamp - all three of which are top 5. Also - Baylor's new stadium is off the chain, though not sure about the atmosphere there.

Obviously, this list shows a lack of data. Sorry to piss on your parade.

Bottom line it always seems to be in the conversation when "the stadium" discussion comes up. I couldn't render an opinion other than to say I sure enjoy my fall Saturday's in Missoula watching football games. Good Stitt 8-)

That article is horrible, nobody in the right mind would have any of those stadiums on a top 10 list. I think this is one of those made up news storys that will be retracted or put on that website for false news stories.
I don't think you are in your right mind...

As another pointed out, it's always in the discussion and you know it. The only stretch made is you trying to marginalize Wa-Griz.

..These lists are subjective. The author of the list offered the criteria for the rankings of this certain list. And this is how the stadiums fell into the rankings per the criteria set. Does it really matter? 99 percent of us love WGS. We have our own reasons as to why the gameday experience is unique to us(Griz fans-visiting teams) Someone else found similar great qualities that we all are lucky enough, and prideful enough to care about. Why should anyone dog another stadium, or that fan base own experience at their venue? What difference does it make to us? I have been to a few of those stadiums above. I wouldn't trade my game day experience in Missoula for any of them. I am sure fans of the teams listed above would tell you the same about their home experiences.

Where is the Fargo Dome gym? Must have been #11.

Is that a flashlight in your pocket or did you just read this list?

All jokes aside this is a neat list. United Center in Chicago should be on this list for NBA.
Maybe back when MJ ruled the world.
