Question: Does a misdemeanor trespass charge even warrant a full one game suspension?

Does letting down your teammates? Does embarrassing your university? Does causing this whole mess when you could have just gone to bed?

Yes, if nothing else for stupidity and bringing this negative press to the team and university. Not saying what they did was horrible by any means, but it was careless and unnecessary. This type of behavior will never end, but if there wasn't any punishment associated with it we would see more of this crap.

If I remember correctly, didn't Hauck have some kind of rule where if you're name was in the paper for any negative reason you were automatically suspended at least one game?

.....

Instead, it has received more "news coverage" than most actual "news." And the students are out $25,000 they can't get back; a great night to be a bail bondsman. You almost have to wonder why the police overcharged this so substantially. There appears to be big money in it.

.....

In the Helena IR this news warranted lead front page headlines ... on a par with the beginning of WWII

I'm sure these guys are over 21. Why in the hell would they steal beer?

why does anyone steal anything.......they don't want to pay for it and have low morals

I was debating between "crime of opportunity" or "crime of passion".....
Haha...nice

But what I really want to know is which one of you sent this email to Ms. Haake?

Inquiring minds might check the relationship between certain police officers and local bail bondsmen....

This is FAR more serious than any of you may know. The emotional distress of homeowner has no bounds. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BEER? Do you realize that may have been the only thing to get him through the SeaChicken/Cowboy debacle the next day? What if it was seized for evidence? Could he have replaced it in time? Football without Beer is a national Travesty of iconic proportions. I can not believe now that the facts are out 75 continues to minimize the effects of this crime. A man can do without his table saw but no beer on Sunday? I have lost all respect for 75, at least PR withdrew quickly when he realized how WRONG he was.

If it was Keystone, the guys should get an award.

So now you are suggesting, they be declared heros for performing a valuable public service and act of kindness??

Meanwhile, instead of the "reported" 3.8% enrollment drop, UM actually had a 6.5% enrollment drop.

Since Gwen Florio began teaching at the Journalism School, it has had a 42% enrollment drop.

See why "not embarrassing the University" is so high on the list? See why four athletes and a visit to a construction site are the most important things on the agenda?

That would explain why they didn't drink it....

Could also explain the discussion of "should we take it or not...."

It was a rescue operation, pure and simple.

I know you are joking, because it would be silly to suggest such a relationship, but to suggest that the Missoula police have not or would not over charge a Grizzly athlete is not an overstatement. Missoula police have a history of overreaction.

So if they weren't charged with theft, does that mean that this grizzly booster gave them beer? ;)

( I should note, this is purely a sarcastic post meant to stir the pot I don't really give a crap one way or the other what happens)

I'm just glad they didn't stumble into my Coors Light stash. Someone would of been shot.
