3 Griz Arrested

Reminds me of the old joke where Timothy is caught is pissing on Micheal's casket. Seems Timothy promised to bury Micheal with a bottle of 50 year old Scotch. That's what he was doing. He just figured Micheal wouldn't mind if he passed it through his kidneys first.

Ever notice how "Grizindabox" copies and pastes AJ Mazzolini's tweets mere seconds after they have been tweeted?

Either grizindabox does nothing but scour twitter all day and post what he finds on egriz... or grizindabox is actually AJ, trying to promote himself.

I was debating between "crime of opportunity" or "crime of passion".....
Haha...nice

But what I really want to know is which one of you sent this email to Ms. Haake?

How did you get this email?

It was posted on twitter by Ms. Haake..

Seems like kind of a bullshit move by Haake.

Recall, this is the newspaper culture that assigned Gwen Florio to do a NEWS article on how "egriz" was a "testosterone filled universe" because it was so critical of ... Gwen Florio.

And then Sherry Devlin giddily nominated her for the Pulitzer Prize.

Did I mention that the J-School's enrollment has dropped 42%.

I have lost all respect for 75, at least PR withdrew quickly when he realized how WRONG he was.
If it was Keystone, the guys should get an award.

That would explain why they didn't drink it....

Could also explain the discussion of "should we take it or not...."

 now this is just funny, regardless of how you feel about this whole thing... :o

And the Missoulian Rag's agenda is becoming clearly obvious as there is no banner headline on their website this afternoon once the charges were dropped to misdemeanors. The newsroom must be wallowing in sorrow this evening.

I'm just glad they didn't grab beers at a tailgate; we'd be down 3 more schollies and would have to vacate our upcoming wins against ISU, EWU, MSU.

Category II Violation
A Category II violation occurs in any situation where an individual: Is charged with a non-felony criminal offense (e.g., misdemeanor assault, misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor theft, etc.) and, in looking at the totality of the circumstances, it is reasonable to believe that the person committed the act; or Violates a term of probation or other condition imposed by a court in a criminal proceeding; or Is found to have engaged in conduct that is deemed inappropriate, reckless, inciting, or malicious (e.g., vandalism, destruction of University property, etc.) which could bring embarrassment to the team, the Department of Athletics, or the campus community.
Penalty for a Category II Violation
Minimum suspension of 10% of scheduled contests

Not a word on the Missoulian's website "front page," not in the "news section" and nothing in the sports section where the lead story is "Bobcat's Ash focused on Southern Utah, not job security." You know, because the Missoulian agressively reports "Griz News." Nothing at the Kaimin either. Funny how the news cycle slowed down so fast.

Kathryn Haake ‏@KathrynHaake 1h1 hour ago Davenport, IA

All 3 #Griz football players and the UM student accused of trespassing on Halloween pleaded guilty. The designated driver denied the charge.
Interesting that this is the first mention of what I suspected three days ago. Courtney Reep was a designated driver. I imagine they pleaded guilty with a plea bargain, most likely fine and deferred imposition with eventual dismissal, which is entirely appropriate.

Speaking Kaimin, they ran a story today indicating that UM overestimated enrollment totals and will likely face another $3million cut in the middle of the year.

Why don't you anti-Griz "Griz fans" who wanted to kick these players off the team without even knowing what happened that night tell us how you feel about this outcome?

By the way I think the beer in question (if it can be located) should be auctioned off at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the next home game so the hypocrite anti-Griz "Griz fans" who prefer to drink beer than watch football could bid on the beer. Then the proceeds of said auction could be used to partially reimburse the players for their bail bond expenses.

MPD needs to be investigated like UM was investigated. This whole incident should have been avoided by the officers on the scene, if they had used one ounce of common sense. They need a new line of work.

She has hallowed shoes to fill, golden footsteps to follow, a platinum standard to uphold . . .

Thanks 75, I had forgotten. :thumb:

And possibly, a prized Pulitzer to pursue . . .

Hmm

MsMaroon replies to "her" own post and thanks "75."

Did you forget to switch names, 75? :o
