I would hope there’s something about the grad school experience that will be the determining factor for this kid. How could you pass on the Harvard of the West?

It’s good they’re looking @ serious upgrades. Hopefully they’ll continue to seek out this kind of player.

Guess it depends on the kind of offer.

We can compete if he’s getting PWO offers, but probably not full schollies.

...although now that I think about it, it doesn’t really make sense to offer a senior grad transfer a PWO...lol
 
Only full scholarships in FBS, no partials. Probably depends on whether he wants to star, or be a back up.

Montana would not be his worse choice by a long shot. Probably much more playing time than the top FBS schools and still a lot of exposure to NFL scouts. Coach saying" I NEED you" vs "I Want you" could speak volumes, but then again you are probably right about our chances.

IMO we didn't get into a mess setting our sights in recruiting too high. We got in this mess starting with the termination of O'Day and Pflugrad and changing coaches. If you look back at the progression from Coach Read up to the termination we also had great success in recruiting by setting our sights high.

Given the opportunity, many would like the opportunity to play against Florida State rather than Northern Colorado.

I could see us getting back into this. We offered early then he committed with Harvard early in the process.

Shooting for the moon is great, but when you miss out your left in a very lonely place...

Hopefully they have a hell of a lot more targets than these couple because they aren't happening and they need to get some signed and not come up empty handed like last year.

Once again transfer OL don’t grow on trees everyone wants them that is why building depth and talent internally is so important. Our two offers out to transfers have offers from big FBS programs so hard to hold a lot of hope for.
