2017 Vim's Montana High School Football Recruiting List

After reading through this thread, hard to believe, Mt Tech has 3 better QB's than the Cats. The Cats screwed up majorly the last few years with QB's They were not prepared for life after Prukop.

Thought Quinn Mcqueary did great for the cats, rode the wave and transferred to the Diggers. Injuries have hampered him but man, the kid is talented.

Class B Playoffs (First Round)

Note: I only listed six players per team to keep things shorter. Some teams have several more "key players" so if I didn't list a kid, it doesn't mean I don't think he is not worth mentioning. Overall, this was the really fun to write-up because I'm a Class B guy. It is my favorite Class as so many of these kids get overlooked yet most of these teams could beat several of the current Class A teams and possibly even some of the AA teams.

Why? Not necessarily saying this year's teams like Fairfield or Missoula Loyola would beat Butte or Skyview as both of those AA teams have had close games with some of the lower tier playoff teams. But I definitely wouldn't count them out. And it is definitely a fair assessment to say Missoula Loyola, Huntley Project, Baker, or Fairfield have just as many college level athletes as Butte, Skyview, Great Falls High, or CMR. Teams may not matchup because of the lines but the skill positions definitely matchup.

Montana High School Week 10 Recap (for AA only):

http://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38904

The Deming twins will have a tough matchup against Helena Capital. Mitch Roberts and his Spartans will travel to Glacier for a rematch of their 63-62 loss earlier in the season. Will have a full breakdown of the AA playoffs out later today.

2016 Class A Playoffs (Quarterfinals)

http://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38906

Griz recruits Trevor Hoerner and Michael McGinnis will be going at each other this Friday at Sidney. Should be a great game. Also, Tanner Wilson and Matt Rensvold will try to overcome Billings Central's rushing attack to make it to the semifinals.

2016 Class AA Playoffs (Quarterfinals)

http://bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38910

A ton of good matchups in the Quarterfinals this year with the possible exception of the Senior/Big Sky matchup (because Senior is really freakin' good). Several Bobcat and Griz verbals will be playing key roles in all their games. All eight of these teams have in-state recruits both schools are still recruiting hard and several of these teams have juniors (Helena Capital, Helena High, Billings Senior, Glacier) who will be top recruits in 2018.

Butte wrap up: Sr. Kiley Caprara finished his season no. 1 in Montana AA receiving yards for 2016, per MaxPreps. Sr. Brian Lafond finished No. 1 in sacks with 10.5. Junior Nathaniel Ferguson finished No. 216 in the nation in Punting (34.9 ave. through 47 punts) with 10th game yet to be tallied, in which he had a 60-plus yard punt. Butte has a rough year but some great individual performances. Watch for QB, Tommy Mellot - may get the start as a Soph next year. This kid has the gift of speed and football IQ. Remember the name.

Maxpreps is missing some games for a lot of the guys. For example, Ryan Arntson finished with 26 total touchdowns for the regular season and Maxpreps has him at 18. Regardless, Kiley had a good senior season and had big games against good competition. Same with Brian.
