So with the D-like comment from coach state-difficult to get down field with pressure-does that mean the O-line is struggling? any QB club members that can let us know? We all know that's where the money is this year. if those guys improve as much as we all hope, then the offense does well. Just curious...

this is a valid ? ......does anyone know ? the o/l should have been even or ahead of the dline , no matter how good the dline will be.....I hope they soon have a video segment on this with the oline coach and stitt.....

The starting o-line is legit. Playing really, really well from what I've heard. Brady is, as Semore put it, making the defense look foolish.

Omega, in your opinion, is the O-line still pretty bad or is the D-line going to be that good this year? I would think, and hope, the O-line has improved a lot over last year.

The Griz are screwed. The o-line is not crushing the d-line in week 1 of fall camp. Raise the white flag and we better prepare to lose games people. There is no way they will steadily improve and gel as we move through fall camp and early into the season. That never happens and the sky is falling. :roll:

OH I totally understand that the d line is good, but I was just asking a simple question based on the coaches comments. I'm not a sky is falling guy...I was just wondering based on us all knowing that's the big key this year for the Griz. There really aren't many BSC d lines to fear overall, but if we make the playoffs, and if we face NDSU, that could be a problem again. Was a simple question based on an observation. So asked if people have actually seen anything that they can share. I'd expect the cline to do well against the o line early. But what about 1 on 1 drills? They holding up? What about 1s vs 1s on the deeper routs? What about run blocking?
As the camp rolls into full form, I expect improvement. First padded practice and all. Today and tomorrow may tell us more a,so.

I always thought that conventional wisdom (which, btw, is scripture to me) had it that the D is typically ahead of the O early in the season. Still, I'm letting myself go into a small panic as I find it good for the appetite after it subsides a bit.

Players who read this already know if the oline is getting ass kicked or not...or if defense is just all-league. They see it/feel it first hand and I bet are doing all they can to improve on both sides of the ball.....or if not should know their job is on the line if next man up is out working them. Hopefully talent is enough, and coaches can maximize it and that's the best we can hope for this season. No transfers are coming so you dance with the one ya got....let's hope it is enough.
