I just noticed that our three starting WRs are 5'7", 6'0", and 6'0". :|

Top 10 UM receivers all-time
3,018 Marc Mariani, (6'0")
2,733 Matt Wells, (5'10")
2,574 Scott Gurnsey, (under 6'0")
2,566 Jon Talmage, (6'4")
2,561 Shalon Baker, (5 foot nothing)
2,527 Raul Pacheco, (under 6'0")
2,402 Jeremy Watkins, (5'10")
2,301 Joe Douglass, (maybe 6'0")
2,300 Etu Molden, (6'2")
2,257 Bill Cockhill, (5'11")

If Matt Wells is 5'10" I'm 6'5". Wells was 5'8" on a good day. I'd also like to point out that these numbers don't include playoffs for all of them except Mariani. Douglass and Wells would be 1-2 if they did.

Thank you, thank you, Payton for posting these numbers. I get so sick of those people who contend that you HAVE to have great big wide receivers in order to succeed. One of my few real gripes about Hauck was that he was always trying to recruit tall WRs -- some worked out, some didn't. Whatever, UM has done very, very well with smurf-y WRs.

I remember you guys complaining about Doherty being a 5'9" safety... But Matt Elam just got drafted in the first round tonight and he is a 5'9" safety too. Size doesn't matter if you can play ball
