This is correct in my eyes....everybody else that is mentioned was on the team last year, a 5-6 team. We played many close games last year but just couldnt pull out the wins. Now JJ is back and many games are similar and the griz are pulling out victories. I know henderson is having a great season, but if JJ was playing last season he would have been a stand out freshman instead of having his breakout season this year. This is simple, JJ mvp no doubt.bray said:Griz2k said:Ellis Henderson has been fantastic, but without a qb getting him the ball, where would he be? My vote goes to JJ with EH a very, very close 2nd.
Yup, JJ without a doubt
smarsh said:you'd be a damned fool not to name JJ the MVP. EH is having an all-American type of season (2nd half), but JJ is the ONLY reason that's happening. look at the last game for example...if you still have it on dvr look at the dozen or so snaps the JJ was able to make 1-2 D-lineman or LB's miss and make a throw downfield. if SSH was our starter again, USD would've had approx. 150 sacks. JJ fo sho. that's not to say I don't think ellis is one of the best WR's in our league...
on defense, it's a no-brainer as well. coyle. tripp is the most physically gifted and best chance at an NFL career, but he will need WORK. coyle has gotten the job done every. single. week.
hermanson? please...this guy plays like a LB, but has a safety body. when we play run teams, he's one of the best run support safeties in the league. when the ball is in the air? sheesh. not good.
