No matter how angry and disappointed some of our fans are they are not more disappointed or angry than the players/coaches. They played hard but made mistakes. Same mistakes they made all year. For those that played sports or pay close attention to them, this is how it works. Mistakes are part of a team and they tend to recur throughout the year and tend to happen in big games at key moments. You are who you are. Can you improve? Sure but these types of mistakes didnt happen in 1-2 games they happened many times and were bound to happen again and they did. With continued culture change and player development/position competition we should be better next year. This team has shown a ton of potential. Need to do it for 4 quarters and clean up some mistakes. As I said on another thread, Sneed would have a chance to shine and it sounds like he did for awhile. This will sting but hopefully make him better. This is a great education and motivator for next year for the whole team.
Hauck is in a different environment than his last tenure. He has more building to do than last time and unlike last time the football team is not the most successful team on campus. Maybe the rise of the basketball team and the pride they are bringing to campus will take some heat off him until he has this team where he wants them.
We should welcome all gloating from Cat fans it makes the rivalry more fun and more fun when we win in the future.
