Where’s the evidence of great fund-raising? An internet poster? I would hope they could do well in championship year?

I was under the impression from some here that Bobby was a great fundraiser as a coach. Odd that a change would bring in even more people and money.

I get the humor and slight. It’s warranted. Truly, that’s why Cat fans are getting nervous again. Yes, several of my Cat friends have been vocal about how they had Hauck’s number and they knew he wouldn’t change. BK is bringing energy and enthusiasm the program hasn’t seen in some time. Cats are riding high. Deservedly so. We shall see!

The audited financials from the respective Foundations clearly show that msu is winning the financial arms race. Although not detailed by category, most athletic donations are run through the Foundations.

For the FYE 06/30/25, msu had contributions of $124 million and net assets of $520 million. For FYE 06/3024, it was $81 million and $446 million.

For the FYE 06/30/25, UM had contributions of $43 million and net assets of $403 million. For FYE 06/30/24, it was $46 million and $373 million.

To summarize, over the last two fiscal years, the msu Foundation received contributions of $205 million, while the UM Foundation received $89 million. And those numbers for msu do not reflect the impact of winning the national championship.

FYE 06/30/26 audited financials will be available this fall. Last fiscal year msu received about $3 in contributions for every $1 UM received. So what happens this year? If I were a betting man, I would put the over/under at $4.25 msu to $1 UM.

BK has certainly been an improvement in the recruitment and messaging department! He's doing the small things that matter that Hauck just didn't seem to enjoy or want to do. The real test however, will be how well he coaches. Hauck had his downsides, but he was a dang good coach. Seemed like he always had the players playing full effort, and that's not an easy task.

The facts are that the UM has more generated revenue or self funding and MSU has more institutional or subsidized funding currently and certainly in the past history of these programs.
But that does seem to be changing with the expansion of MSU and the Bozeman community.

Thems are the facts as I understand them as well. But homeboy came out a-swinging’ (with perhaps bad info?).

Bob Hauck could coach. He understand the game well. Lots of coaches do. Bob Hauck wouldn’t evolve. The game continues to change. He is probably in a better spot as an assistant.
