Griz Soccer 2026

Troy would be nice, even James Madison in Virginia as Gore coached there as well as rumor is they are hiring a former James Madison player. Playing teams in CA would be good to, UCSB Long Beach State, ect, might help with CA recruiting.
 
Grizz sign another class of 2027, this make 5 or 7 depending on if the 2 Canada players are still coming. Not much room for transfers unless you grab DSAs that don’t account against cap.

Based on what I can tell from IG profiles:

Kaylie Rai - still lists Montana '31 in her bio
Elizabeth Proulx - no school listed
Abby Lagrandeur - no school listed
Addison Sarina - Committed

By my count they have 26 rostered now, including all four GKs. I would think having Molly Rouse on staff might put them in the lead (or last place) with the Ole Miss portal players, as she probably recruited them.

Well, glad info was correct! I don’t know what type of portal player WSU is targeting, but my guess is MF depth. The SEI for #24 against Zephyr really hurt their offensive attack. Defense is solid, they still have 9 forwards listed on roster, but who knows?

you are correct, targeting strikers and Mids, if remove the players that transferred and who got hurt, they have 8 forwards with three of them being incoming freshman and one is RS Sophomore with no playing time last year. With Whalen they have 5 mids with one being an incoming freshman.

All true, Griz, WSU and Boise State are targeting the same kind of players, maybe we find out this weekend who the Griz signed, according to Gores post it's a big signing. A lot of the one and done seniors will have an extra year if they pass the 5-year eligibilty rule so how does that play into things. Also, a lot of one an done are being repped by Proven Sports Management and are asking for good money.

FWIW, I heard that Cougs were inviting some transfer prospects that are, traditionally, fowards and centerbacks. That doesn't quite balance out the roster as you point out....but it's what I heard.

WSU signed first portal player from Colorado State, a CB. Signings are picking up steam. Have Griz had anyone on campus.

Coach Gore was at the Mo Club tonight and said they’ve already had transfers on campus, with several more coming in soon. When asked who, he just smiled and said he can’t say anything until everything is signed, sealed, and delivered.
