Sac to the Mac

Hint, it's not going to get cheaper the longer you wait to make the jump, in a few years $23 million to the MAC will seem like chump change..

If and when the split from the p4 and the p6 takes place, the powers that be who will run the p6 level will figure out which teams not p4 takes football seriously and those schools who don't,, and right now the teams who are jumping from FCS and those staying FBS is evident to everyone which schools and fan bases take football seriously.

Wait and get forever left behind.
IF that's the new price tag, I hope we stay in the BSC forever. There is no WAY I would want the university to spend $23 MILLION dollars to join that shitshow of a conference. Or ANY conference, for that matter.

Now that the bar is set at that price do you really think the asking price at some of the conferences is going to go down in the future, what sense would that make?.

Like I said adapt and move forward or get left behind. Those are your choices.

Hope you enjoy playing teams like EWU, U.of Northern Colorado, and similar teams like that, mean while more progressive current FCS schools are going to leave you in the dust.

Why the fuck are you here?

"UM and MSU are gonna look stupid if this works out for Sac"

Yeah, and if we get a chance to "move up" to whatever comes next after the P4 split at a fraction of that $23M price tag, who's going to look stupid then?

I don't really get this whole "progressivism" being necessary to moving up, as if we could be FBS if we just wanted it more. It is indeed true that Sac clearly wanted to be FBS incredibly badly, and now they are. They've also gotten there by potentially bankrupting their athletic department.

If that remains the only way to move up, then we likely won't, but I don't think the price tag to do so will continue to go up simply because Sac (and NDSU, honestly) got fleeced by conferences in their desperation to be FBS.

Won't happen and that is probably why UC Davis, NDSU, and Sac State are spending so much. 90% of the FCS play in high school stadiums
It's not the STADIUMS that are HS, it's the crowds. CP's stadium is beautiful. So is Webers.

There is nothing progressive about what Suck St. is doing. Betting $23MM that they'll somehow eventually get invited to the MWC or Pac-12? Because I WOULD rather we play EWU, UNC and Weber instead of the dumpster fires in the MAC.

Holy hell what a stupid move:

Ross Dellenger @RossDellenger
The MAC’s deal with Sacramento State - now officially announced - is a 5-year agreement in which the school will take no conference distribution, cover air travel costs of visiting MAC teams and pay $6 million of the $18 million entry fee in Year 1, sources tell @YahooSports

ADT, a leader in the protection field, is commissioning the trophy for the newly created Ball-Sac rivalry game. The teams will begin battling for the BS Cup in 2026.

It's not the PAC like Dr. Wood wanted but he delivered on FBS status. All the haters can line up for their serving of crow.

You think scrote state matters enough to have haters? That's adorable.

Wood is a race-trading DEI pseudo intellectual fraud who has the respect of precisely no one.

Scrote State just paid 18 million to be the MAC's winless mercy fuc.k for the next several years until you are eventually and inevitably jettisoned to the college football graveyard.

You won't be missed.

I agree with that. It is the Crowds that are high School

You’re right I should have said the Big Sky outside of Montana and Montana State and now the MVFC outside of the 3 remaining Dakota schools when they have premier games.
Harvard v Yale had 53,500 attendance last fall. “Key Celebration Bowl Attendance Trends
  • Peak & Recent Data: Attendance peaked in 2022 (49,670) during a Jackson State-NCCU matchup. The 2025 game saw a significant dip to roughly 26,700, following 36,823 in 2024 and 41,108 in 2023.”
Those are high school atmosphere to you?

I'd rather not play either personally (except Weber)
