Sac to the Mac

I think if our school had just paid $23M to join the MAC, I'd probably be frantically finding ways to cope, too lol

And this is coming from someone who would like to see us move up!
Hint, it's not going to get cheaper the longer you wait to make the jump, in a few years $23 million to the MAC will seem like chump change..

If and when the split from the p4 and the p6 takes place, the powers that be who will run the p6 level will figure out which teams not p4 takes football seriously and those schools who don't,, and right now the teams who are jumping from FCS and those staying FBS is evident to everyone which schools and fan bases take football seriously.

Wait and get forever left behind.

Next FCS teams, making the jump to FBS

1-UC Davis sooner than later
2- Illinois State, rumors are anytime soon also, might be a reason why Sacramento State over paid to get into the MAC.. Sac.heard the same rumors and didn't want to get left behind.
3-UND already is amping up efforts to the big money boosters and corporate sponsors, they don't want to fall to far behind NDSU like what happened in the d2 to FCS jump by NDSU..UND still playing catch up, and my guess is UND will be in play in two years..

Judging from Colters Haslem interview, Montana is basically holding out for the P4 to separate themselves from the rest and the leftovers invite the FCS to join them so like maybe 2035 or so.
I don't think that is going to happen. G6 will not invite many, if any, FCS teams if that happens

The hope by FCS faithful is that the 2 will naturally merge. Obviously the G6 will not see things the same way and more than likely control their own destiny at that point, once the P4 officially separate themselves.

Won't happen and that is probably why UC Davis, NDSU, and Sac State are spending so much. 90% of the FCS play in high school stadiums

Some top tier high school football programs get 10,000 fans per game attendance which is more than everyone in the Big Sky besides UM and MSU.
That wasn't the topic. Topic was stadiums in FCS. MSU is 29th in this list.

The topic is how the environment at the vast majority of FCS schools, basically all of them besides Montana and MSU, is akin to a high level high school program.

Okay. Thats not true either. The occasional big Ivy League games are great. The Cat atmosphere is not big deal just better than it was. The atmosphere of some of the black stadiums is terrific. You need to get out more.

And I was addressing the statement I quoted. 90%. It said nothing about atmosphere. That was inaccurate. And no matter how much other stuff you try to bring up, that statement is wrong. Are you ADD? You can’t stay on topic.

You’re right I should have said the Big Sky outside of Montana and Montana State and now the MVFC outside of the 3 remaining Dakota schools when they have premier games.
