Shaun Boykins flipped his verbal commitment to Delaware

This! Who cares if your portal signees are better? Obviously the one team didn’t need as many as evidenced by their two wins and national championship. To tout that the Griz did better than the Cats in the portal is one of the dumbest flexes that I have ever seen. On field results are all that matters. Period.
No one said anyone cared. I just made the statement that UM has dominated MSU in the Portal. Which is undeniable. And then some started fighting me over that, as well as things I never said.

Sure, UM has dominated the portal, MSU has dominated everything else, including the only thing that matters: on field play. 2-0 vs UM this most recent season, and won the national championship. Glad you dominated the portal though! Happy for you!
No, MSU has not dominated everything else. Not the game in Missoula. Not the 2023 season. Not in all-confrence players this season. Not in the first-team all conference QB. Not in offensive MVP. Not in attendance. Not in season tickets sold. Not in stadium and game-day atmosphere. Not in lack of off-field problems for players and coaches. Not in lack of on-field embarrassing things. Not in academics. Not in beating SDSU this year.

Nope. Four other QBs in development, and that was an exciting and competitive spring season at QB without Tommy. He reached out to Lamson because he had previously recruited him and knew him and his family. Vigen wasn't in panic mode at QB but was willing to take a slam dunk if available. You know the rest of the story.
Another ridiculous comment from you.

Hoops and 99 - on behalf of the free world, take your immature and meaningless pillow fight littered with homosexual undertones, not that there’s anything wrong with that, to a private forum for just you two. Thank you.
701, it was a good conversations and dozens of people participated. FU.

What homosexual undertones? None from me.

It's not worth arguing, but sure, why not?

I don't think you get it. I don't care about the accolades, the awards, the whatever. It's all just window dressing. The only thing that matters is winning games, and most importantly, winning the very last game. You can go on and on and on about all the things the Griz did better, but at the end of the day, on the field, MSU went 2-0 against UM and won the national championship. That's all that matters.

I think that is all that matters to you. Other people can also care about more than just the record against MSU. Personally, I'm not so obsessed with the Bobcats that I cannot enjoy an otherwise really good season for the football team I love. The goal is the national championship, but that isn't the requirement to enjoy a year or call it a successful year.

Do I want more for the team? Of course. But only one team gets to win a championship each year. That doesn't erase all of the other success with a team.

We have plenty of capable athletes to fill the positions on the field. Every year has a different dynamic based on the players on the field. We obviously cannot replace Wortham. He was special. The coaching staff will adjust based on the team on the field. He can go to Delaware State and will never be heard from again. That’s fine. The issue brought up with the D Line is a real concern. That’s for a different thread. Move on and appreciate the guys we have rather than worry about what we never had.

Why is the DL a concern to you? I like what I see so far.

I've never said otherwise. I've been happy with a lot of football seasons, and only seen one championship in my lifetime, so clearly I don't think a championship is the only requirement for a good season. I've never said UM fans shouldn't be happy with the season, or that UM didn't have a very good season. Clearly you all did. You have a great QB, great RB, and I even think Bobby is a good coach!

Now, if UM had beat MSU twice in a season and won the championship, I wouldn't be self congratulating myself on all the things that MSU supposedly did better at than UM. That's just me though, in a fun little hypothetical that couldn't possibly be related to anything somebody is doing here. ;) It would be like losing a game 40-0 where the opposing team ran the ball at will and bragging that your team passed for more yards. Just...a silly thing to do. But I'm a Cat fan on the Griz board, so, maybe I'm the one with problems here.

I said that a couple posts ago if you cared to read. Don't worry though, next time you'll get it!

False. Vigen's work with the portal the last couple years has been a masterpiece. Leonardo da Vinci level perfection. Bobby's work has been sporadic and much less effective.

Nope. Did he get anyone last year other than Lamson. If so, who? Does MSU have anyone from the Portal in 2026? If so, please name them. Griz have crushed the Cats in the Portal. It's not even debatable.

He had the absolute perfect number of transfers last year to win the national championship. Ideal number with the ideal players. Why are you having so much trouble understanding this basic concept? It's not that hard.
