How are they not doing that on their own without being made to at this level? How are you not making your long snapper, holder and kicker sit and snap on the sideline until overtime. Just poor poor execution…twice
but what? He loves to kick and hasn’t won a natty? Don’t know if he would have handled that differently. If I’m a betting man I’d wager the kicking unit would be on the field.Say what you want about Bobby but…
Our kicking unit is better. I don’t remember ever seeing a snap that poor as the field goal from the Griz.but what? He loves to kick and hasn’t won a natty? Don’t know if he would have handled that differently. If I’m a betting man I’d wager the kicking unit would be on the field.
Both snaps sucked. The kicker looked scared, the snap was low
Both holds were worse than the snaps. Both snaps sucked.
Agree to disagree but given the momentum and tempo of the game I’m betting he goes for it.but what? He loves to kick and hasn’t won a natty? Don’t know if he would have handled that differently. If I’m a betting man I’d wager the kicking unit would be on the field.
All the more reason to go for it.I don’t think it would’ve mattered any way. They were gonna need a FG at some point and with how sloppy the operation was he wouldn’t have made it from closer range. Hell he couldn’t even make an extra point with the game on the line.
They were trying to run some time off the clock and make msu use some timeouts. They had some success running the ball during the game as well so it made senseThis game illustrates how elite teams never have a huge gap in one if the 3 phases. Yes, ISU had 2 really sound phases, but the third lost them the game. However, I was disappointed they squandered the first 2 downs in that series with the straight up the middle bologna. They just squandered it away well before they trotted out the now famous kick team. I’ve never understood football well enough to know why the run up the middle is used so dang repetitively. Especially when it isn’t yielding too much result. If I’m running it in that series, I’m letting that QB go outside and see where his heart takes him 3 times. He seemed to be ready for that moment
Why? They get the first down and then punch it in against a tired cat defense and chew up the rest of the clock. They were gonna need a FG at some point
