It was a move of insecurity. They were afraid that maybe 5% of the seats could be bought up by Griz fans.
I have no issues with the way the Bobcat ticket office has done this process. It was a mess when Griz hosted NDSU a couple years ago. If I remember correctly NDSU fans bought a huge share against South Dakota a few years ago right when they went on sale. I'm just saying there are many friendships and families that are split Cats Griz. And if someone has 8 tickets and they sell a couple to a Griz friend or family member that is not a big deal. I have people that are friends and family that I have hooked up for Cat Griz in Missoula. I haven't taken up offers to go to Bozeman for a few years in all honesty because I didn't think the last couple would have been competitive. So freezing my ass off and listening to obnoxious Cat fans didn't sound great. This I believe will be a competitive game. And the Cat fans I will hang with are great people and our shit giving is good natured.Sure, but it's just reasonable and logical to use whatever advantage you can. I'm not going to get on a high horse and pretend like I'm sorry we didn't allow for more tickets to get sold to the opposing fanbase in a semifinal game.
You do realize one listing doesn’t mean a single ticket. A listing can include eight tickets. Bobcat math is almost incredible at this pointYou're assuming 32 seats will sell for $1000, which they won't, but honestly, you're throwing quite a bitch fest over 60 tickets. Scalpers would exist regardless of how you did it, the vast majority of fans are paying face value or slightly more to get to see the game, just the same as always. This just simply isn't as big of a deal as you're making it to be, and you're only arguing this way because the Bobcats did it.
My "theory" was that I didn't think there would be a lot of huge markups going on. Right now there's 72 listings. 72/20767 = 0.35%. Totally destroyed my goofy theory with under half a percent being listed right now for ridiculous amounts. You're brilliant, my friend.
Yeah and you’re dead fucking wrong. My "theory" was that I didn't think there would be a lot of huge markups going on.
Wonder if those seats will be loud?I would expect a whole lot of empty seats bought by bubs who can't find 8 people to go.
Its way more than 60 tickets. There are currently 45 listings for 2 tickets. If you just want one ticket there is another 32 listed. Plus, I saw 7 SRO tickets already go on sale and sold from this morning. Another 5 SRO already sold, asked $485 for them.60 listed on seat geek. And you yourself said that most people don’t know which extra tickets they got yet. So I’m assuming once that happens this number will climb.
I have never been to an event where that didn't work just fine.If you’re a gambler, your best bet is to show up at the stadium and look to buy within an hour of gametime.
Stooped so low? It's basic economics dude. You're Victorian aunt routine is precious though.Yeah and you’re dead fucking wrong.
Are you just playing dumb or are you literally this stupid? It is by far the biggest mark up in the history of FCS football. Forty dollar face value tix are being sold for over a thousand. 2500% markup. Everyone knows that. It’s so silly for you to try to deny it. Beyond delusional really.
And your school not only facilitated it, but also encouraged it. We’re talking about it, not because it’s the bubcatz, but because no other school has ever stooped so low. Most of your own fans agree. Doesn’t that feel weird to you?
I feel sorry for the average Joe Schmoe bubcat. He might have gotten lucky and scored a few tix to the game for him and his family. He would not have logged in just to scalp for profit. But he never even got the chance and now Joe Schmoe is Joe Schmuck. Meanwhile others who would never consider scalping cannot pass up the opportunity, so it’s incentivized it and pushed the market even higher. Simple economics which I am not surprised you cannot understand
My goodness.Yeah and you’re dead fucking wrong.

Even if it's 1-2% of the tickets, it's an insignificant amount in the grand scheme. You do realize one listing doesn’t mean a single ticket. A listing can include eight tickets. Bobcat math is almost incredible at this point![]()
Oh I'd take action on that friend!I would expect a whole lot of empty seats bought by bubs who can't find 8 people to go.
Then why is MSdui the first school to ever pull this crap and literally cancel the public offering? It’s nutz. Lower than low. I hope you are proud of your POS school and town full of transplants who condone this trash.Stooped so low? It's basic economics dude. Your Victorian aunt routine is precious though.
They cancelled the sale because all of the tickets were sold out...Then why is MSdui the first school to ever pull this crap and literally cancel the public offering? It’s nutz. Lower than low. I hope you are proud of your POS school and town full of transplants who condone this trash.
Victorian aunt? Now that you’ve been outed on your infamous “pearl clutching”, is this your new phrase?
I'm curious if this number will increase tomorrow, since anyone buying them from the additional sale (like those in the QB club here) doesn't get their tickets until tomorrow, so even if they wanted to, they couldn't list them until then.My bad, I hit the wrong button for quantity. Regardless, 60 tickets is a pretty small amount.
Last night, I said that people didn't know which extra tickets they got. Email went out shortly after midnight, so this morning everybody knew.
Both are extreme. Yes, it is a lot considering there were literally none made available to the public. Zero. If your theory were true, there should be not be any or very few. But there are hundreds. Which means one thousand percent more than your goofy theory.A lot of tickets being sold at a marked up price meaning quantity of tickets, not $ amount.
No they canceled it by design. They purposely doubled the allotment so they could cancel it. Never done before. Anywhere. They cancelled the sale because all of the tickets were sold out...
The Griz had to offer a discount because nobody was buying the tickets. MSU quite clearly has the opposite problem. Both are extreme. It’s the opposite of how The Griz would have handled it (e.g. just look at last week’s discount), but The Griz have class and are authentic Montana while everything about MSdui is trashy
All tickets were released this morning AFAIK. I got my extra requested tickets just a bit after midnight.I'm curious if this number will increase tomorrow, since anyone buying them from the additional sale (like those in the QB club here) doesn't get their tickets until tomorrow, so even if they wanted to, they couldn't list them until then.
I still haven't gotten mine. All tickets were released this morning AFAIK. I got my extra requested tickets just a bit after midnight.
