Okay, someone has to ask...how far does SDSU fall in the polls?

Last year they barely lost in Fargo, and they fell to #3 behind undefeated MSU. They're not putting SDSU at #2 after they lost by 31 at home. The general consensus I've seen from FCS media people on twitter is that they'll fall anywhere from 4th to 6th.

Stranger things have happened, but leaving them at #2 invalidates the voters as know-nothings.

The “stranger things have happened” is the but what. I agree with ALL of your points I just know how in love the pollsters are with the Dakota state teams

If they had lost by 3 in a close game, I'd agree with you that it's a strong possibility.

They're not staying at #2 after that game last night.

2. Montana

4. Tarleton State
5. North Dakota
6. South Dakota St

And another with this

So I would say at least 4 spots

The reasoning for the second pollsters ballett would be interesting to hear. Tarleton plays nobody and moves to two. Montana State played SD State at home and lost. SDSU gets blasted by NDSU. Move MSU to #3. Griz played ND at home and pulled out the W. Also Idaho when they were ranked. Somebody was drunk when they cast their vote is all that I will say.

Save a garbage-time TD, Griz would've beat suck state by a wider margin than sdsu did, so I could see Griz jumping Tarleton (national TV, big win) and sdsu. I think sdsu goes to 5, scats 4, Tarleton 3, Griz 2, undsu 1

I shouldn’t have even said stranger things have happened, because they haven’t. They’re going to tumble, so no sense even giving a thought to the idea that they wouldn’t.

That’s all I’m saying.

“Man, it would be wild if NDSU dropped to #2 after that win” is like the same idea.

Not really. Uman is saying they will drop. Rob says he thinks they will drop but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't based on weirdness of voters in the past and their love for MVFC. Not mutually exclusive but not the same thing.
