Deck, Botner, Leonard, Oven, Detrick, Boyd, Cutler, Rausch, Huff, BuehlerWonder who I missed? I guess I really DON’T care if they’re “Montana kids”. They all are, in my book.

You are aware I’m referring to Monte, right? There were zillions of guys returning all camp. You weren't there.
Are you afoot, or horseback? Do you know? You are aware I’m referring to Monte, right?
I could have sworn I saw people talking about that because of all the losses + 50 newcomers, but it’s highly possible I just have a bad memory.Who the hell is talking about this as a "rebuilding" team?? Everyone with half a brain considers it a national championship level team.
Ahhh... dementia. That explains a lot!!I could have sworn I saw people talking about that because of all the losses + 50 newcomers, but it’s highly possible I just have a bad memory.
You're not crazy. Six months ago, the narrative was that this year could be rough or a rebuilding year. There was a lot of chatter about transfers and revamping the entire defense. The great reports out of training camp and the hype around that have significantly raised expectations. Thankfully, it appears we didn't need a rebuilding year because you can rebuild in the offseason now due to the portal.I could have sworn I saw people talking about that because of all the losses + 50 newcomers, but it’s highly possible I just have a bad memory.
We call that a RELOADING year, not rebuilding. We reloaded. You're not crazy. Six months ago, the narrative was that this year could be rough or a rebuilding year. Oh, I couldn't be more pleased with everything I have heard. I couldn't get to practices this year, but I am absolutely excited. I just wanted to let PT know he wasn't crazy to think that people were saying it could be a rebuilding year back in the spring. We call that a RELOADING year, not rebuilding. We reloaded.
Yes. You obviously didn’t see who was doing returns. You are aware I’m referring to Monte, right?
Thats probably good, because I enjoy letting him know he's crazyOh, I couldn't be more pleased with everything I have heard. I couldn't get to practices this year, but I am absolutely excited. So I suppose Brint was wrong when he mentioned it as well?Yes. You obviously didn’t see who was doing returns.
Unfortunately I think the effect is it shows what you are.Thats probably good, because I enjoy letting him know he's crazy![]()
I will acknowledge, that probably isnt fair...

I agree that we have to rebuild or reload to a certain extent every year. And some years will , it goes without saying, will be more successful than others. Was anyone saying that we’d have rebuild for a year without being very successful? In the
day of the Portal, every year has significant rebuilding and reloading for most teams. If most of your defensive starters are gone, of course, you have to rebuild.
I disagree. One carries a much more negative connotation, in the fact of rebuilding with a year of young / inexperienced players needing a year of building/ developing to get up to standard. Reloading relates to known quantities and trusted and established depth or proven transfer portal additions. We are clearly reloaded from last year.Rebuild, talking about replacing spent parts of a structure.
Reload, talking about replacing a spent cartridge.
Both can be said about every team, every year. It's just semantics meant to provide an excuse after a season of underperforming.
You are not very smart. I try with you, but you're just not. Literally I'd venture to guess i doubt anyone, and I literally mean anyone, that watched any amount of fall camp is surprised that Monte isnt listed on the two deep at returner. Doesn't mean he didn't get some reps at returns during camp. But hes a freshman. Promising, yes. But hes got two very well established and talented seniors listed ahead of him, which makes total sense. So I suppose Brint was wrong when he mentioned it as well?
I think it could be a redecorating year. Everyone talks about reloading and/or rebuilding, but how many teams redecorate? Very few. I reconnoitered this changing landscape, and I'd like to reiterate that it could be an advantage to redecorate.I disagree. Neither is an excuse from the previous year. In fact, both are commonly used as an indication of prior success and allude to how the next season's team is prepared to sustain prior success.
Redecorate is way too soft. We're talking FOOTBALL. RELOAD!!I think it could be a redecorating year. Everyone talks about reloading and/or rebuilding, but how many teams redecorate? Very few.
